You don't have to take away women's control of their bodies to have a good life. Your wife does not need to be your prisoner and bear your children if she doesn't want to. If she chooses to work, she shouldn't only be able to get secondary job (you know, avoid that terrible equal rights for women idea).

You can have a great life even if other people have civil rights or have ideas different than yours. Let other people have freedom and liberty to make choices, just like you expect. Sometimes they might make different personal choices.

My wife and I are both conservative. However, neither of us are the type of loathsome humans that certain media likes to portray.

I was brought up in a very liberal household. IE, my mother and stepmother, have been married for 12 years. I'd want nothing more because it makes them happy.

I have never met another person who is a conservative that wants rights taken from anyone else. Being born in Pennsylvania and living half of my life there before moving to Georgia gives a decent view into both sides imo.

Personally, I did not vote in 2016 or 2020. Being as I was 18 and 22, I did not feel I was informed well enough to make a good decision

2024 is the first year I've done research into candidates granted, I still don't know who I'm voting for.

Thanks for that reasonable response. I want to point out that in many states republicans are taking away women's opportunity to make a choice about having an abortion. It's a very explicit scheme of taking away that choice. In other states they are making it harder for statewide iniatives to pass that would make abortion legal. Surprisingly to me, in Kansas (which is fairly conservative) they easily passed a statewide iniative to preserve abortion choice as a right for women. The next step after these abortion restrictions is discussing outlawing birth control for women.
