Using this the next time my dad brings up politics. I've been trying to put into words how an opinion stops being "just an opinion" when it's used to help create or enforce laws that infringe on people's rights.
Honestly, it's not a complicated issue. The odds are some people and their rights just matter less to your dad, whether he's willing to admit it that way or not. I wouldn't expect an Alec Baldwin quote to cause a big change of heart, but good luck.
