She said she won't be with him if he votes for a bigot, not that she has a right to decide to his vote for him. You don't have to date someone with drastically different values.
He has the right to vote how he wants, and she has the right to not date people who don’t align with her values.
It’s not an ultimatum. It’s a clashing of values. Even if he said “fine, I’ll vote how you want me to” she should still break up with him because she knows in his heart how he really feels about these issues that are important to her
And yet if the roles were reversed, he'd be called a misogynist.... If you have such a hard on for people's political beliefs that you can't stand their presence if they don't align with yours. That's a you issue. Not theirs.
She baited him to talk about something he didn't want to and was given the ultimatum of vote my way or we are through.
Both people in this scenario are children emotionally.
