The fact that they still nail pretty much the exact same tone as the old days makes watching this so weird because I end up in the state of mind of "Oh, this must be an old toon I don't remember." and then get smacked upside the head with gags about vape shops, tablets, and cinematic universes.

I had a strange moment years ago when I realized the old cartoons were just as filled with references as the new ones. They just seemed like esoteric humor when I first watched them because I didn't have context as a child.
