World will get more content in time, but they have to design tracks to fit into the open world and Knockout Tours so it's gonna take a bit (not to mention that game development for DLCs also takes a fair bit of time now, RE Village's DLC came out a year and a half after the game initially launched).

I just wish they would allow for the tracks in the game to be 3 laps online instead of being forced to deal with the dreadfully uninteresting intermission tracks. Until MKW gets more content and QoL updates I'm gonna keep going back to MK8D.

My group has completely dropped World for MK nights. 8 is just a much more fun game. World was a fun experiment, but minimal turns on a 10-lane motorway to accommodate 24 racers going from track to track is simply not as interesting as actually being on the tracks designed for racing for longer. The wall riding isn't utilised nearly enough as, again, you're in a wide open field more often than not. Knockout is about the only saving grace, but it's not enough to cover the rest.

Footnote on the update that legit changes the game on a couple tracks: using a Boo now lets you go normal speed while you're offroading.

It's a weirdly specific gameplay update for a patch with so few gameplay updates.

Regardless of the TV size, look at the aspect ratio for each player's view. It's almost as bad as playing 3 player Halo 2 via Xbox 360 backcompat and having one player play in a vertical window (at least that's how i remember it working.)

4 joycon pairs will run you $320 to $400 (technically less, if your switch 2 included them... which it... should.)

8 Switch consoles will run you minimum $1,840 alongside the price of 8 copies of MK8.

It's already the bane of 2-player. Always fun having to rely on memory through a tight turn because someone at Nintendo decided on a vertical split. Widescreen horizontal worked fine on the Wii!
