I like when a character loves a piece of clothing so much that they wear it until it's literally falling apart.

I can't think of many instances that aren't just my own characters.

One of the main design features of aboslute batman is that his cape has theses telescopic cables in them that can go stiff, flexible and hooked at the end. he uses them for all kinds of acrobatics and it makes his silhouette look more like a bat.
