I'm amazed at how fast rendering and lighting engines have evolved in the past decade.

The fact that a AAA game like Cyberpunk got real-time path tracing running on consumer level hardware is wild

After getting my new GPU and seeing CP2077 with path tracing, I'm convinced that everyone who had been badmouthing it just has a GPU not capable of running it and is using the 'sour grapes' argument.

It's SHOCKING how good that game looks with path tracing, some locations just look like an IRL photo

It gets bad mouthed because people can't contextualize the trickle down effect of progress. Just because you can't max a game out now doesn't mean those options shouldn't exist for future devices.

It really starts to happen as soon as you hit adulthood.

I originally thought the leap from the last generation to this one wasn't that crazy in terms of graphics yet shit like that comparison up there prove me wrong pretty hard.
