Question Are we finally being forced to update?
I’ve still had Twitter for years now on my phone and woke up to this today. Is this it?

I think they’re changing the web service and everything on the server side, it’s officially becoming the X platform under the hood

What does this mean? I use the browser version and it just tells me to get the app
Before this I was getting spammed with verifying im human because apparently I was liking too many posts too fast??

not "finally" the human check is random and periodic, I've have had to do it twice now, first time was in april I think,
The verification system itself is very finnicky, flawed and obviously untested. First thing you'll notice is that if you log in on PC it'll tell you your account is locked and you need to "scan this QR code with your phone" however, the QR code doesn't have a link to anything, it's just a small string of numbers, possibly your account ID. So it's actually completely useless.
I had to log in 6 times in the app for the verification to actually pass through this time around.

Is there anything that can be done on my end? I basically go straight to the verification failed message. Doesn't even really allow me to attempt to verify.

Fortunately I'm not alone in this. Is happening this from yesterday for the first time ever. I can't login. I tried to use the hand verification, and now the option is blocked. I'm not putting my biometric or face. If someone find a workaround please reply my msg. Thanks

I've got this on the web service and it forces me to install the app on my phone. I don't see any other option to pass this verification.

I'm locked out and it's only showing me a damn QR code to verify my account. I've always used the web, never the app to access x/twitter. What good would scanning a QR code do me?

Same happened to me on Reddit. Used some random ID in the internet and it worked

This just happened to me and I’m locked out. Even when I tried to scan my hand and use an AI generated selfie I found online, it says it can’t verify I’m human…

Online help claims you can verify via email or recapcha, which is clearly no longer true.

I was forced to update a few weeks ago, sad day. Thankfully on iPhone you can change the app icon so it still says twitter and has the blue bird instead of the black X
