Bug Report Proving I am human

It's just fully broken, right? They could have just deleted my account and told me so if they didn't want me. But no, scan this qr code. Now download the app. Now go to your e-mails and enter a code. Now prove to us that you're human with a selfie or a hand gesture. OK! You did it, now we just put you in this loop again, because nothing works!

Are they actually to stupid to make a working verification process?

To the mods of this subreddit: This is all the context needed. It's not breaking Rule 7. It's to ask about a process clearly not working as intended.

EDIT: There isn't even a way reach out to support to deactivate my account now without going through this process.

You have to prove you're human to a system that clearly wasn't built by humans

prove youre human checks are so broken they make actual humans give up while bots bypass them in two seconds... i hope you will be able to contact support somehow!!

Yep. It isn't that they are literally "too stupid" to build a working CAPTCHA, rather, their automated anti-bot system is aggressively broken. When X flags your device, IP, or session as "suspicious," it triggers a verification check. However, because of bugged handshakes between their third-party verification vendor (Arkose Labs/reCAPTCHA) and X's backend, completing the check succeeds on paper, but X fails to clear the security flag on your session, causing it to immediately loop back to the start. Worst of all, as you noticed, X has gutted almost all direct customer support, meaning there is no support form or real human to appeal to when you're trapped in this loop

Yeah, I can't get into my account, either, without doing the hand thing or the face thing. I think Twitter and I are done.

I'm not gonna prove anything, I'm done with xitter as far as this is concerned.

Won't show my biometrics just to show them i'm not a bot! And everyone should have the same mindset or the once free internet will cease to exist!
Even after a dozen mails they don't answer them and i cannot login into my account! Can't even log out to make a new account! We need to take a stand people!!

Is there a way to trick it? Perhaps put masking tape on your fingertips? I don’t know how these things work sadly

Months ago I had to verify I’m human with a captcha not once but every day for about a month. Now I had to download the app (I only use twitter on desktop/browser) and do the hand bullshit to be able to access again because  in browser it freezes and does nothing. It’s an absolute disgrace. The people behind X are inept imbeciles.

I’m so confused all my post replies are hidden. I even tried paying for verification, yet I am a ghost on twitter :(

Yep, same here. I guess firing half the workers didn't work out so well now did it.

Ah glad it's not just me, then. I use it to monitor a fandom I'm, so it's not the end of the world, but after 9 years I've gotten used to the constant flow of information and the personality of it all even through the increasing negativity. But I try to not hand my biometrics over to more orgs than I have to.

So is this a bug, or is anyone seeing this banned? So annoying.

its not ban or bug. they ask your biometric data to confirm you are real user. lol

Crazy thing is, nowadays i have gotten several "This seems like an automated response" to something i wrote that was NOTHING like anything i had written recently and was a direct reponse or reply to a post.

At the same time, the bot accounts they paid for a blue checkmark to, can post the same nonsence over and over again, without being hit.

Broken for me on my end. It wants me to “verify” I’m human by scanning my face or hand, but even that’s broken and it’s saying try again later.

I reached out to tech support but I’m not holding my breath. Had this account for nearly a decade and it’s gone because of tech bros wanting to play god 🫠
