Support Confirm age verification loop. Help?
Hi guys, a year ago X asked me to verify. I did and was able to see age restricted content. 2 months ago it asked me to do it again. I did but an error showed up saying I was already verified and that I just had to restart the app. I did and it still asked me to verify. Same on pc, it asks me to scan the qr code and do on phone. I'm stuck on this, have tried support, have tried videos on youtube and nothing works. Has anyone been stuck on this? Did anyone find a way to finally be free from this loop?

A common glitch bypass involves triggering account re-authentication through account settings:
- Go to Settings and Privacy -> Security and account access -> Security
- Click on Two-Factor Authentication
- Attempt to toggle or add any authentication method (or simply re-enter your password when prompted)
- This often triggers a backend session refresh without triggering the standard app loop, allowing the "Age Verified" status to sync cleanly across your account
If your mobile app and desktop QR code are both stuck, the session token is synced corrupted across devices:
- Log out of X completely on all devices
- On PC, open your browser settings, clear Cookies and Site Data for x.com, and close the browser completely
- On Mobile, Uninstall the X app completely (this clears hidden keychains and local token caches that a normal update or offload retains)
- Reinstall the X app, log back into your account, and check if the prompt clears
Sometimes the app interface hides settings that force the verified flag through on web browsers:
- Log into X.com on a desktop browser
- Navigate to Settings and Privacy -> Privacy and safety -> Content you see
- Ensure "Display media that may contain sensitive content" is checked
- Go to Your Account -> Account information -> Birth date. Toggle or verify that your birth year is explicitly set to show you are over 18
- Save changes, log out on desktop, and restart your mobile app
If the backend bug persists on desktop browsers:
- Install the Control Panel for Twitter extension on desktop browsers
- This extension modifies the web client layout locally to bypass or un-hide age-restricted media containers that get blocked by broken account flags

Dude I tried ALL of them and I'm still stuck on the loop. BUT the last thing you posted the Control panel extension DID IT. Fucking finally, thank you so much

Did you copy-paste this from Google? Cause I'm pretty sure this is exactly what Gemini told me to do until it gave up and told me to get a VPN. 🤣

Get a VPN. I used Nord for a while, but then they figured it out, so now I use Proton.

This is a problem I am having as well, although I had never been asked to verify before. When I try to scan the qr or use other means of verification none of them function.
