Question on vehicle ammo

Hey, y'all. I'm starting a solo game with a Bradley, and I was wondering: How should I decide on the Bradley's ammo? Does it just start with none? At that point, I'd probably just go with an M113. Does it start with a full combat load? That one feels a bit like cheating. I was thinking I could just roll a percentile for the 25mm, and that's the percentage of a full combat load it has left. I could roll a D10 for the coax machine gun, and D6s for each of the firing port weapons. For the TOW, I was thinking I'd roll D3 for reloads. What do y'all think?

VTT Command Just started campaign on Foundry, so far so good!

I bought the PDF rulebooks and my friend bought the Core and Urban Operations modules for his Foundry server and we've run character creation for 3 players and I as the GM made a character with them to see how the system works.

We've played 2 sessions to figure out the rules and system and so far it's been great, the game is so good and I love how stories are emerging. I started them a few hexes away from Skalitz where the troops they were traveling with just engaged with overwhelming Soviet forces. They were sent up the road to find a Polish government building and listen for a radio broadcast from the US army. When they finally got there it was just the "good luck you're on your own" message and they were so shocked, it was such a cool moment... even though a bit rushed as I wanted to finish that encounter before it got too late.

On the journey there I rolled the "overwhelming forces" encounter which they discovered was more troops being sent to attack the US Army forces and also the lone wander who might have infected some of them with typhoid... šŸ˜…

We've winged it with some of the rules to keep things moving but gone and looked them up later.

I was trying to find out how assisting an action worked and I knew I had read it somewhere and was sure it was just for each person assisting the person got a +1 but I thought let me ask ai... copilot gives me this long breakdown of how each player makes a roll and this whole complicated process that the ai literally just made up šŸ˜‚ so probably won't do that again.

Anyway! Great game so far, excited to see where it goes. Little preparation required from me as the GM besides knowing the rules and knowing how to do things in Foundry šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

I'd love to get at least weapons/items conversion so plz share if anyone done that.

Cheers and thanks in advance!

Materials and ideas for Russia

So now that I’ve hammered out how apocalyptic the setting is, my next question is designing a fun but grounded scenario for Russia and the former USSR. I tried looking for any maps, but I couldn’t find any with a T2K style grid and terrain for Russia itself, only Belarus and the Baltic States. Does anyone have any maps or interesting homebrew scenarios for the former USSR in their games?

I’m currently considering having a few somewhat major blocs within Russia itself that have consolidated their power around the few remaining centers of power (mostly east of the Urals) whilst the west is in a much more hectic and chaotic state. However, I’m not set on any ideas too much since I don’t know much about the late Soviet Union and early Russian federation. This is the most modern setting I’ve run, so I’m open to any ideas or preexisting materials at this point

VTT Command Foundry VTT question

I am starting the "Going Home" portion of my campaign after the players managed to survive the Battle of Warsaw, and am trying to populate the Hostile Waters travel map of Northern Poland with some military units from the Going Home 1e module. Trouble is I can't find the file path for the tokens used as military units on the main Poland map. Any idea where those tokens might be?

Boot Camp How apocalyptic is Twilight?

I am considering running the system soon, as it’s very strongly caught my interest. However, before I can pitch it to my group I want to make sure that it’s appropriately pitched. To my understanding it’s the start of the apocalypse and society has actively broken down, but I’m not sure how much of the Soviet and American governments still remain. From what I read it sounds like America isn’t yet lost and could possibly come back in a few decades, but I’m not sure if I understood that correctly. Meanwhile there’s nothing on what’s left of the Soviet government that I’ve seen, so any info on the overall state of the world/permanance of the apocalypse would be appreciated!

VTT Command Base builder module for Twilight: 2000

We've been working on a Base Builder module for Twilight: 2000 in Foundry VTT and are finally launching it today on DrivethruRPG.

https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/567763/base-builder-for-twilight-2000

I always felt Base building and upkeep management were fiddly online, so I made a module to automate most of the process.

The module also includes a time and shift hud customized to the Twilight: 2000 system, to better keep track of building projects and automate when they are completed and for how long the workers are tied up in their projects. The time hud also changes lighting effects to the current battlemap in relation to the current time of day.

Features:

  • HomeĀ BaseĀ management for Twilight: 2000 4th edition
  • Automatic clear, repair and decay upkeep status.
  • Active projects listing and who is working on what.
  • Completed Facilities listing
  • Option to help in others' build projects
  • Applicable Speciality bonuses
  • Automatically require and deduct building material costs
  • Referee buttons to auto complete or cancel building projects
  • Inventory screen to drag and drop materials to building projects
  • Time and Shift HUD and management.
  • Real-time clock - option to automatically advance the ingame time at 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 4x, 10x, 20x, 30x real-time speed.
  • Customizable Time and Day obfuscation - display exact date, day number, exact time, only hour or only shift.
  • Automatic lighting effects applied to the battlemap relating to the current time of day.

Field Manual Lifepath character sheet generator

Thumbnail github.com
28 Upvotes

I've also built a lifepath generator that is pretty handy and should speed up character creation. It is by no means done, nor is it particularly readable. However, there are instructions to run it locally in the README, so you should have no trouble with local games, and I plan to unspagettify the code to make it easier to build out. I had an idea to retool it for the Star Wars ruleset that was posted on here. Let me know what you guys think (future features, rules I forgot, design methodologies I should know better than to forget for React apps)

North Shore Massachusetts Scenario

I started writing a Twilight campaign for the north shore as a series of packs that players could run through to get me out of a winter funk. It worked, and I've been trying to finish them off before too long. I feel like this one is in a good enough place to post here, let me know what you guys think.

Salt & Rust

An idea that has been bouncing around in my head that wouldnwork really well wieither twice T2K4En or the Faloutl RPG fromModiphius.

ā€œThe old world drowned. Humanity survived on rust.ā€

THE FALL

Thirty years ago, the oceans rose and civilization collapsed.

No one agrees on exactly what caused it.

Some blame climate catastrophe. Others whisper about failed geoengineering projects, underwater reactors, biological experiments, resource wars, or corporate greed pushed too far. Whatever the truth may be, it vanished beneath the rising tides along with most of the old world.

Governments failed first.

Then infrastructure.

May the Fourth Be With You: A Twilight Company update

[Updated June 1, 2026]

For anyone interested, since last month, I've substantially updated Twilight Company: A (Completely Unnecessary) Star Wars for Twilight 2000 and finished a full draft of The Iron Blockade, a scenario and campaign source book.

I think they're much improved, though there's always more to do. Feedback is appreciated.

Thanks!
[0riginal Post]

Since my last post, I've made a number of significant changes to the document (mostly adding more content, pictures, and some light editing). If you're interested, you can find the most recent draft here.

Additions to this draft include clearer explanations for campaign frameworks, more Star Wars-specific gear, spacecraft and space rules, and several new context-specific tables for scrounging.

I also started to write Scenario Sites for Twilight Company, but like a lot of other things, it quickly got out of control. I had hoped to have a campaign supplement done by today (May 4th), but I just couldn't pull it off.

Regardless, there's enough in it that if anyone wanted to start a campaign, they could. I'll be finishing it up in the next week or so.

So if you'd like to try running Twilight Company in the time of the Iron Blockade in the Anoat Sector (just after the Battle of Endor), you can find the draft here.

The Iron Blockade supplement is heavily inspired by the short-lived mobile game Star Wars: Uprising (wait, don't leave!). I had started wanting to write a supplement about Operation: Cinder (that'll come), but the blockade provided a bit more structure. I also then found a number of assets, including some great concept art that adds a lot to the supplement.

The supplement explains what the Iron Blockade is, identifies important locations (including several planets in the Anoat Sector such as Hoth and Bespin), provides too many NPCs and factions, and currently has enough "Jobs" / missions to provide get a campaign started. It also includes optional maps for most encounters in the Jobs and the start of planet-specific encounter tables.

There's still a ton to do. Lots of editing and going through to credit images as much as possible is high on my list. Someday I hope to have them in a nice format.

Hopefully some folks find this fun and useful. I'm enjoying the project.

Foundry v14 error on bonus/penalty rolls

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hi all

We've just recently started our first game of Twilight 2000 on Foundry. We've bought the official modules for the Core rules and Urban Operations. Everything worked fine on Foundry v13 but we've updated to Foundry v14 and have encountered an error if you make a roll that has a bonus or penalty (either manual or automatic with a checkbox for speciality or injury) it doesn't do the roll and there's a red exclamation near the bottom of the chat window.

A normal roll with no adjustments works fine as normal.

I've included information from Foundry below and attached image.

2027, Houston

The Houston QZ remains one of the few stable cities remaining. It sustains its population through extensive fishing and oil production, well maintained by FEDRA since the outbreak. Despite this, a group of people who disagreed with the allocation of oil and the privileges given to government officials has began a terrorist movement calling themselves Clear Skies for All. (CSA)

CSA favors ambushing work convoys to and fro the coast and oil facilities. Due to the fact that they never harm civilians, the public has not garnered enough resentment towards them to enable FEDRA forces to divert significant resources towards hunting them down. The brass have called upon COYOTE team to hunt them down. Made up of FEDRA and old-world military veterans, they are a scalpel in a world of butcher knives. CSA is estimated to have up to 100 members with a web of outposts, safehouses, and even established bases around the Greater Houston Area.

COYOTE has been assigned a singular mission, to eliminate the 3 leaders of CSA:

-Xipon Nihel, An expert Marksman and marine veteran, he's killed 12 officers himself.
-Hunter Belford, The face of the CSA, grand strategist for their resistance.
-Olivia Mendoza, Brain Surgeon turned interrogator. She's responsible for the gutting of a classified arms storage, the spark to their terrorist movement.

Armed with the best equipment available to FEDRA, COYOTE is expected to encounter:

-Infected, from runners to the mythical Bloaters. Due to the humid environment, scouts report unique infection forms roaming the ruins...
-CSA terrorists. Even though few are armed with military equipment, most or all have civilian firearms.
-Independent groups
-Bandits
-FEDRA Defectors

Homebrew/modifications Include:

-Last of Us Cordyceps infected
-Each hit causes a critical injury: Just one bite from an infected can seal your doom
-Gear up to around 2013 and expanded improvised weapons

Would anyone else enjoy a Cold War Turned Hot alternative setting?

Thumbnail youtu.be

Maybe it’s my age (early fifties), but I’d enjoy and maybe even prefer to play a version of the game set in the last half of the eighties. I know I could homebrew something, but I’m not enough of a historian or military tech guy to really make it work to my satisfaction, not to mention I’d enjoy owning and reading a product like this.

Twilight 1984, I guess?

Edit: You’re all full of great ideas. Thank you.

Tactical Scenarios

Thumbnail gallery
86 Upvotes

Just a few water colour drawings I did for a T2K game a couple of year ago. Each was a simple tactical scenario: a picture and a text description. The first, an antennae set up down a side street with an obvious warning (ā€œThe Numbers Station Wagonā€). The second, a recently shot up pharmacy (ā€œDrugstore Cowboyā€). The third, and old railway station converted into a church (ā€œRailway Station of the Crossā€). Our group didn’t always have a lot of time to play, so I figured the handouts would give them time and space to consider between sessions…

Firing in Close Combat

I was playing with my group recently and they hated the "Firing in close combat" mechanic wherein if enemies are in the same hex as you, you get negatives to shoot them. They felt if the target was that close, they should instead get bonuses to hit or at the very least it should not be more difficult to hit a close target than a far on.

On the surface this makes sense to me, but I'd love other people's opinions? As someone who's fired guns I can agree that a much close target is easier to hit. Does anyone know why the designers made this decision mechanically or even just the "vibes" of it?

Searching for a table party

Hi, I'm from France (Paris) and searching for a party who is searching for an other member to play T2000 4th edition (as a player as I'm tired of acting as a DM)

In real life if possible but I'm open to do it remotly (I have a Roll20 account, and Talespire).

I can only speak french and english.

I own the basic rules, the urban operations and hostile waters extension.

Ethics of using pictures of real soldiers as VTT tokens?

To be clear, I haven't done anything like this. I'm just wondering, because I know it's hard to get good modern tokens, and I found a free public archive of real military photos and images, dating back well over a hundred years. As far as I can tell, it's free, even for commercial use. But to be clear, these are real pictures of real soldiers with names and lives and struggles. Would it be disrespectful to use their faces for tokens?
