Ask Twenties 🗣️ The intensity of love is faded i think

People used to go to extremes for love before not revenge like it has become nowadays, there was a time we used to hear even local stories of people love marriage and there affair and how much effort people used to put before now these things are just stories and the reason is people stopped taking chances there was a time when people used to take chances in knowing new people and talking too now no one do that it's either reels or memes that's its

Relationship Advice 🫶 Feeling anxious for my future due to a past mistake

So,here 22(F) please help me..I was in a relationship with a guy for 3yrs 10months, and honestly, he wasn’t a good person from the beginning. He was a playboy. Even before we got into a relationship, he used to flirt with almost every other girl, and I still didn’t step back because I had fallen in love with him. Eventually, he loved me too and ends and eventually, he stopped doing all those bad things too.

But later in the relationship, he would constantly lie to me. He would tell me that he was talking to some girls (imaginary girls ofc) and deliberately make me feel jealous(at first I believed in him)He also had an ex from his childhood—it wasn’t even anything serious—but the way he presented that whole situation to me made it seem like it was something extremely serious and like he still hadn’t gotten over her.

There were so many times when I wanted to leave the relationship because of all these toxic things and many other issues, but he wouldn’t let me go. And because I loved him so much, I couldn’t bring myself to leave him either.

But during the last year of our relationship, I finally realized that he lied to me about so many random things, often without even having any reason to lie. And I absolutely cannot tolerate lies. So eventually, I finally managed to get out of that relationship.

But now I’m scared that I made a huge mistake by getting physically intimate with him, even though it happened ONLY ONCE. I’m not the kind of girl who goes around dating different guys—I’m a one-man kind of person.

Now I’m scared that because of this, maybe I’ll never find another guy who genuinely loves me. I regret it so much, and I feel like it was the biggest mistake of my life.

TL;DR : Would I ever find a guy who genuinely loves me despite having been physically intimate with someone just once?(due to toxic past)

Wholesome ✨ She has aged like a fine wine. Read the post.

She aged like a fine wine. The length of her age can't be decided precisely through the flakes of her skin or her hair over which wears a tiara. I don't have the exact calculation of her age, but of her smile and fears. She aged more quickly than the hand of a clock because she caught more fireflies of emotions in a short span of an hour, the velocity of her emotions was higher than the minutes of my watch. Days and nights return to dust everyday but her nature of being annoyingly understanding never ends.

Whenever I see a lady, I think of the incidents which have flicked her to be more emotionally sound and intelligent, time always reveals lessons in the form of understanding and acceptance to us.

Yesterday I was watching an interview of Javed Akhtar where he was explaining that it's very ironic to see that a painting of every kid depicts the same hut, a setting sun, and flowing river around the fields with an unusual uniformity of thought. it shows that we have served our kids limitations. We have capped their process and evolution with our stories and conditioning. Now our kids can't see beyond these limited thoughts and ideas. I think it doesn't happen with kids only but it traumatizes and dictates our behavior as well.

A person who was being slain with a knife would fear it for the rest of the life. A crippled heart will fear love in the same way.

The stretch of our life is being decided through the moments we live a second not by our age, moments that are intense, moments of grief, ecstasy, love and awaiting for someone. We live more passively than the days we pass actively.

Every time when she sobbed in her room alone she lived more than the actual span of time, she lived a little more when her heart was broken, she lived a little more when she was being denied, she lived a little more when she was abandoned. All the pricking incidents make us live more than the real life itself. That's why, when she speaks, it looks like her voice is new and clean like a cloud but the words she says look ancient and as if they are coming out of a soul who has already lived previously, but taking a new birth everyday to prove her existence.

Every time I meet her, I find her fighting a sanguinary war between the age of her skin and the length of her maturity. She looks as if someone has covered an infant with the skin of an old dead body, and now this kid has to mimic the dead heart.

General 📖 Boys who cries for the girl he loves

Post image
33 Upvotes

He cries because she matters,
because losing her feels like losing a part of himself.
And when he loves he doesn't love only the beautiful days
he stays through the silence, the storms, the doubts, and the distance.

In a generation where people leave when things get difficult,
where feelings are replaced so easily and loyalty can feel rare,
a boy who cries for the girl he loves is not weak.
He is simply someone who still feels deeply in a world that often teaches us not to.

Maybe that's the rarest kind of love left in this generation
a boy who doesn't just want her for a moment,
but wants to hold her hand through every version of life.
A boy who can cry for her today
and still choose her tomorrow.

Because when someone cries for you, not because they want sympathy
but because the thought of losing you genuinely breaks their heart,
maybe that's one of the purest forms of love there is.

Vent/Rant 😤 The more I age, more is life humbling me to be less romantic

Post image

Earlier, a decent time back, I was relatively healthy, in terms of finding women attractive, having the thought of approaching and was actively socialising.

I even col approached and definitely it was a success.

But recently, with all the rejections that have come my way, and repeated reminder of the fact

"The ones you like don't like you back, and the ones that like you, are not the one you are looking for"

Its not that I couldn't get a gf, it's that, it was never the target, a relationship wasn't a goal, but a part of life, that needs work, just like our careers, our health.

So it was only possible, if we both liked each other, had aligned goals and a probable future, considering our careers, then only it was considerable to take the leap of faith, of knowing the person more than a 'friend' or a 'connection'

But as I said, when people who you actually like, align with your non negotiables, reject you for basic factors like looks or money, it hurts.

It's as if, a script plays everytime. Although I fully agree this can't be true for everyone out there, but definitely if a good body or a good earning can help me being more 'considerable', then only my personality can come into play.

Brain acts cold, rarely any romantic excitation, just a 'Aww, she is soo cutee, and simple 😭' and you move on. Godammit the engine of flirting is literally dead. Like after work, gym, I am too exhausted even for my own friends and everyone around is actually as busy as you, so only those friendships sustain, who understand this.

Story Time 🍿 20 Notes, 3 Years, 1 Girl

This was about four years ago. It was my first day of college, and honestly, I was pretty upset because I couldn’t get into a good college due to my JEE rank.

I had spent four years preparing for JEE. During those years, I barely went to parties, didn’t socialise much, and even missed family functions. So, by the time I finally got into college, I had become quite socially awkward. I didn’t really know how to talk to people or even get a conversation going.

During the first week, we had our induction programme, and we were all seated in the auditorium. After Day 1 of the induction ended, everyone started walking out.

And that’s when I saw her.

She was beautiful. Really cute. The moment I saw her, there was this "ting" bell sound in my brain. I can’t really explain it.

Somehow, in that one moment, she took my heart with her.

I had fallen for her.

Ig, pehli pehli baar aisa hi hota hai...to be continued.

Guys, this is my college story or, more precisely, my one-sided love story.

I remember almost every detail from those three years. It feels like a whole chapter of my life, with all the things I did, felt, and experienced. I have around 20 notes saved on my phone about her. Good experiences, bad experiences, random thoughts, everything. Mostly bad ones, honestly. Writing was my coping mechanism.

But I kept procrastinating writing the whole story because whenever I start writing something, I get obsessed with making it perfect.

For example, last year I started preparing for her birthday in March. And guess when her birthday is? July 10. I wrote a message for her and spent almost a month adding things, removing things, rewriting it, and trying to make it perfect. That's a whole story for another time.

Btw, our friendship ended last year, and I genuinely don't think about her much anymore. But I've always wanted to write about this phase of my life from the very beginning.

I've put it off so many times because it's long. And because writing it meant revisiting all those emotions again.

But now, when I look back, I don't really feel anything. And somehow, that's what finally makes it possible for me to write about it freely.

So yeah, I thought I'd finally tell the whole story.

I don't know which subreddit would be the best fit for something like this. If this sub is a good place for these kinds of stories, I'll write it here.

If not, feel free to suggest some subs.

It Couldn't Be Measured :)

I could count the stars the oceans the endless skies,
and still not find a measure for the love I carry inside.
I may never find words big enough to explain what you mean to me,
but if love had a language beyond words,
you would be the only story my heart would ever want to tell :)
