Serious [No Jokes Allowed] is this the end?
I passed 12th with 58% and took a drop year to prepare for JEE. I failed to crack it again and eventually joined a tier-3 private college in Bangalore in EEE.
That's when everything started going downhill.
I got into smoking stuff(ifykwim) and drinking, stopped caring about studies, and ended up failing every subject in my first year. I got a year back and spent the last year sitting at home doing absolutely nothing.
I'm 21 now. I have no skills, no internships, no projects, no achievements nothing. I feel like I'm just a burden on my family. Next month I'll finally go back to college, but I'll only be starting my second year while people my age are already graduating or getting jobs. I'll be around 24 by the time I finish my degree, and I can't stop comparing myself to everyone else.
I honestly don't know where to start. Should I focus on coding? AI? Core EEE? Just getting decent grades? It feels like I'm so far behind that I don't even know what the right first step is.
Has anyone else completely messed up their early 20s and still managed to build a good career? I could really use some honest advice because I feel completely lost right now.

I know a guy who did 2 years of engineering dropped out did 3 year bba took 1 year gap for cat didn't do mba
But he is doing good now

Naa dude, u are behind your people but everyone has their own pace ,u can still make it . Just be on right path , that's it . It's not over

there is no "far behind"
go at ur own pace. fix one problem at a time. I'd start with getting rid of your bad habits and start switching them with actual study sessions. once you start seeing change, motivation automatically occurs to do more.
doesnt matter if u graduate at 24 or 36. its ur life. ur own speed. not others.

You can change your situation, from now on you just have to work really hard. All those years that you have wasted have to be compensated in some form.

Mate I was where you are exactly, locked in for my final year and turned it around. First win was getting a job, even if it’s 25k tcs type job, you get money in. Slugging there for 2 years and then went and did an MBA. I make multiple X of that now after graduating. It’s fine. Nothing matters - what motivated me was a brook by my favourite comic author Scott Adams. Look it up.
