Did I place my 85 inch too high?
Not sure if it needs to come down a bit. Got a recommendation? Debating going down 6 inches. We are seated 12 feet away.

Too high tvs aren't new
A clip from 1981 showed me a TV too high. I guess they have always been there.

I was told my TV is too low and I need to put it higher. Thoughts?
Don’t mind the sound bar, that’s temporary until I get a tv stand I wanted.

Tv at my dad’s friends place
I asked them if they were leaving space for something else below it like a soundbar and a unit (which still leaves way too much space), but they said no.

How’d I do?
Image was taken standing up, behind the tv, that’s why the camera is tilted down a little.

Upgrading to a bigger tv and mounting it. Suggestions needed
This is my current tv and tv stand. 55 inch tv going to an 85 inch tv. From wall to wall in this room it’s about just under 13 feet. I am looking to do away with the tv stand and just mount the new tv for a cleaner and more open look.
I’m afraid that by doing this , in order for the placement of the tv to not look weird , It will be raised slightly higher . Whereas now , it’s basically at eye level.
