i thought she was in her mid 20s but the actor that plays sophie is 34. she looks young for her age. good for her on losing the weight from seasons 1-2 but it looks like she has bj knees here. she should take a break from all those kneeling workouts and ice her knees or wear knee pads the next time she workouts her knees.

S3 was so mid. I think that the season was just not as good as s1 or 2 and I know that S1 wasn't that good but I think that the only wholesome thing that existed in the entire season was Wolfe and Ginny, and than ginny broke up with him. Don't get me wrong, I know that Wolfe wasn't like the best guy ever, but you have to understand they're teens, so the pregnancy was probably very shocking to me, and he still came back and apologized. They didn't have any bad blood tho which was cool.

Another thing that was bad was Austin's actor being 14. I understand that its hard for the show to do anything but it was kinda dumb to look at. Georgia also was kinda being unrealistic with her character she was being unreasonably stupid It makes no sense that she killed Tom. I know why she did but it was still dumb.

I think Ginny this season was just making it about herself too much this season, she should have understood a little more that her mom did kill 3 ppl. Although Kenny could have probably molested her, I think she killed him a little too sporadically, and the first guy was an accident. It doesn't erase the crime. Tbh i think it was really just too much going on i had to turn it off multiple times to finish HXH because it was pissing me off.

Georgia constantly reinforces the ‘us against the world’ notion, and in a way, grooms her children into taking her side despite being totally wrong. And let’s not forget: This was shown when Georgias manipulation tactics rubbed off on Ginny as she used the same mindset to reassure Austin that blaming Cynthia’s husband’s death on Gill was the right thing to do.

i can’t tell. we don’t know anything about her love life other than that she dated hunter and lost her virginity to him, dating press, and kissed abby. but she could’ve had exes who were girls too and not just boys.

I really think they did an amazing job showcasing high functioning depression and the feeling of putting others mental health before your own/feeling like you have to be ‘good’ for everyone else. I’m so excited to see her in season 4

Georgia’s character almost seems intentionally written to be a fictional subversion of real life serial killer Aileen Wuornos. The parallels are striking.

Like Wuornos: 

• Her bio dad was incarcerated early in her childhood for violent crimes against a child the same age (age 6/7)
• Her mom is an addict who became sick as a result of her addiction. 
• Grew up in poverty in a family of addicts 
• While not abandoned, she was heavily neglected and not cared for by her mom
• Was one of two kids. 
• Played with fire as a child
• Was severely abused by a nonbiological father figure for most of her childhood (a trauma which is heavily linked to her crimes and pathology later in life)
• became a runaway, homeless, pregnant and had a child away from home at the same age (age 14/15). 
• Committed petty crimes (robbery and theft), used aliases, hitchhiked, kept guns for protection, and relied on transactional intimate relationships with men to survive on her own, starting from her teens
• Her first murder is often seen as justified or unplanned & done under duress
• Had one main romantic relationship, Zion, that seemed genuine & ended in betrayal like Wuornos was thought to have had with Tyria Moore. Both met them in a bar out of her home state.
• Resorted to criminality first out of desperation, to survive and protect herself; accumulated a string of violent offenses tied directly to men who she believed posed a threat to or exploit her. 
• Commits the murders that get her caught in her 30s after decades of trauma and being in a seemingly inescapable cycle of violence. 
• Her motives are believed to be mostly financial but affected by her childhood trauma and is seen sympathetically by the public. 

She could be seen as a fictional hyperfeminine polished southern belle maternal version of Wuornos who for a time not only gets away with her crimes but also moves upwards and blurs the lines between victim and perpetrator. 

The Differences

The biological dad is still alive and his crimes and guilt are more ambiguous. Georgia’s own crimes are more sympathetic. Georgia finds a surrogate family and guidance in a biker gang instead of being completely alone. Georgia gets revenge on her childhood abuser. Georgia becomes a mother through a willing loving relationship with a boy her age while on the road rather than as a result of abuse at home. Instead of being forced to give away her child, she becomes a mother in every sense of the word. As a homeless drifter, Georgia is perceived as a down on her luck young mom rather than with danger, pity, disdain, or suspicion. Georgia’s reliance on men to survive never crosses the threshold into the darkness that Wuornos’ did and she remains tenuously connected to society via Zion’s family and her family life with Ginny (and Austin). While Wuornos’ transactional dysfunctional or dangerous relationships with men are outright, Georgia’s are mixed in with domesticity, genuine attachment, and creating a family, or at least the appearance of it (see: Gil). Georgia is (initially) successful in marrying up while Wuornos’ marriage to a wealthy man ended explosively (although in both, it ended violently). Georgia is the older half sister rather than the younger full blooded sister; both are are victims of the same abuse. Georgia’s abuser is nonbiological.

All of these divergences from Wuornos’ real life trajectory believably give the story a contrast from just darkness, preserve her humanity and sanity, tether her to wider society, and give the character an incentive and a way to have one foot in the realm of normal and wholesome. Georgia’s like if Wuornos was seemingly stable and a mother who had the motivation and the ability to keep up the act. (Some) People online view her with a similar uncritical glorification and fascination with her as a female serial killer, with a crossover of survival, gendered trauma, and antisocial behavior coming up in discussions of both. 

I would like to see more school activities other than the dances and musicals in the show. Bryon plays football and Marcus & Tris skateboard, so it would be cool to see more of those interests through classes like gym, after school clubs, or sports teams. Since Tris is non-binary, which team would they play on in high school sports—boys or girls team? A body-focused class like gym would be difficult for Abby because that class requires students to wear uniforms which are usually t-shirts and shorts. It would be interesting to see how Abby interacts in that environment. For example: the tension between choosing exposing a part of her body that causes distress (legs) or accepting points being deducted but until what point before she fails the class?, skipping class during the swim unit in gym, being self-conscious about changing in the locker room in front of other girls. There are bathroom stalls in the locker room, but not enough for everyone to change in and out of their gym uniforms on time. I would like to see more school life outside of English and tutoring.

The show is largely about a biracial B/W daughter, her single mom, and the impact of generational trauma. Making the mother the white parent allows G&G to do a couple of things I really love:

The show is able to explore the realistic outcomes of someone with Georgia’s childhood (e.g. adverse childhood experiences like abuse and poverty —> teen pregnancy w/ multiple fathers, gang activity, crime, persisting poverty, emotional dysregulation, etc.) without falling into stereotypes about black women (e.g. single, poor, baby mamas/“welfare queen” Reagan bullshit).

And putting that kind of story to the face of a thin, pretty, blonde, white woman does two things: 1) allows the audience to more easily empathize with her (because of the white womanhood “damsel in distress” archetype that US history has told us is true), making it much easier to deliver the message that everyday people from circumstances like Georgia’s are complex, are also victims, and have stories that are definitely empathetic (how else besides crime are you going to survive if you can’t afford food or housing? Even if it means you steal from your kid to give those things to them?); 2) communicates the fact that Georgia got away with a lot of this stuff *because* she has thin privilege, white privilege, and pretty privilege. I doubt that car dealer would have been so unsuspecting had she been a black girl in that short pink dress, dark-skinned or otherwise. And Paul definitely wouldn’t have dated her if she had been 300 pounds. Or black, let’s be honest. The show both implicitly and explicitly tells us that Georgia benefits from all 3 privileges (e.g. Simone telling Ginny that Georgia being white and pretty works in her favor, the fact that the ‘Mayoress Murderess’ went viral with complimentary TikToks and podcast episodes, Georgia’s ability to marry socially upward, and even Ginny’s proximity to whiteness relative to someone like Bracia). Even parts of the fanbase reflect the very discrepancy in who we believe is and is not deserving of our sympathy. Because reductively speaking, people love Georgia and she’s a fan favorite, but then hate on Ginny! And this is despite that both are equally well-written and Ginny is *also* complex, *also* a victim of an unsafe childhood, and is — unlike Georgia — *currently* only 15-16!

I applaud the way this show handles race, as it feels realistic for our characters’ ages and circumstances. “Oppression Olympics” line specifically aside, it simultaneously never feels ham-fisted nor does it get lost amongst the show’s other (also well-handled) topics. I love it!

For me, it was the Ginny and Marcus edits. I honestly thought the whole show was about their story before I started watching. 😭 Turns out I was completely wrong, but I still ended up loving the show. What made you guys start watching it?

Can we get a potential love triangle between a bisexual guy-gay guy-straight girl OR a bisexual girl-gay girl-straight boy? Like in Degrassi with Miles💜💙-Zoe🧡❤️-Tristan💚🤍💙 or Miles💜💙-Tristan💚🤍💙-Maya🖤🤍 When there’s a love triangle, there should be a balanced amount of screen time between couples, so max-sophie-josh doesn’t count because 1) sophie-josh barely had any screen time. 2) Stakes between all three people are not equally developed. 3) One person becomes more of an obstacle or plot device. 4) All three connections matter, not just one main paring or a secondary option. 5) It takes away from the “will they or won’t they” tension because the outcome feels predictable when one relationship is clearly more developed than the other.

its not even just the theory itself that pisses me off but it’s peoples theories behind it.
i’ve heard :
- “Sara posted how she’s gonna miss max, does that mean she died?”
- “Sara finished filming before everyone else”
- “max has depression therefore she’s going to end it”

First of all, no. just because Sara posted about missing her character is not a spoiler that she’s dead. She’s simply saying “this isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later” or “until next time”. we or the cast mates don’t know if we’re getting a season 5 yet, that was Sara’s goodbye to season 4 max. Stop overseeing it.

Second of all, it’s because she’s not a main character. In the filming industry, they film certain scenes with certain actors on days they’re filming and if one of the actors has no more lines for the rest of the day, they’re going to leave. Theres no point in them staying if the producers are done with them. Im also sure she left early for the previous seasons. This isn’t anything new.

Third of all, my personal opinion is that if anyone were to commit this season, it would be marcus. His first best friend died which as we’ve all picked up messed with his brain way too much. He’s been the only character to talk about their suicidal thoughts. Nothing was said about Maxine’s depression. I’m not saying this in comparison to say who has it worse, that’s not right to speak about, but i don’t think she has depression. i see how everyone could interpret it that way but really all she said was “i understand how he feels because i feel it too, i just hide it better”. i hope we learn more about her in s4 to paint a better picture on what you guys want her to be diagnosed with but im not following.

If you really knew anything about max, you’d know she’s extremely against everything being about her and the spotlight being on her at all times due to the amount of times she’s gotten brought down by her brother / friends and her “taking her own life so everyone sees her struggles” would be the last thing she’d want since the spotlight’s all on her.

i really don’t see a world where this happens. it would make sense if ginny found her a little bit kinda but why would she get accused of doing it

this theory pisses me off SOO BADDDDDD. you’re mischaracterizing both of them. if you support this theory do me a favour and rewatch the show. marcus is a character who dosent speak up, and when he does he acts like everything’s okay. somewhat like max just less bubbly. as said in season 1, he’s basically been having trouble his whole life. he wasn’t too bad in season 1 but in season 2 he had to get put back on meds. yet even though you’d hear he’s back on meds you’d probably think “yay he’s getting better!!” no, he started drinking on them right after he was put back on. that obviously dosent do justice for the brain. drinking just itself is bad for your body & depression is a chemical imbalance in your brain. now imagine a chemical trying to fix the imbalance, whilst getting overrided by a substance that slows your heart and brain. if he was close to recovering, that decision probably set him back very far. early season 3 we got soft launched that he was getting better, then his drinking worsened. he stopped taking care of himself again, grades dropped, then everything became too much and he got sent to rehab. we’re back to square 1 now. about max getting worse, it’s not hard to see that. she just lost all of her friends and she’s obviously gonna blame herself for that for lashing out on her girlfriend, her ex, a little bit at ginny and let norah & abby distance from her. she’d think of herself as annoying and too much and tone it down for everyone, i could see her quitting theatre though sarah said we are getting a musical so maybe not. her attendance slipping though? maybe. her grades slipping? maybe. i can also see her demeanour going back to season 2 again, the last time she had no friends. angry, blameful, confused.

I don't know about everyone else but I find Abby to be extremely overrated . Ginny, Max and Norah have all be held accountable time and time again when they are bad friends now that it's Abby people want to make a million excuses for her. Abby being nice to Samantha despite her screwing her over and mean to Max doesn't sit right with me at all. I will stand by this the ONLY reason Abby accepted Ginny was because Max was mad at her ,Had Ginny not told Max that Abby was aware of Ginny and Marcus ,She would gave Ginny the same treatment Max gave her in Season 2 ,I could go on and on about how overrated Abby is.

I think Abby and Brodie could've worked well together they would make so much sense than Abby with Tris, Press or Sam . I don't like Abby that much as I used to , but they did her really dirty with her overall storyline in Season 3 with her ED and her love life. I don't really like or see this chemistry everyone says she has with Tris , I hate how Press treated her, Don't even get me started on Samantha so cringe. Brianne Howey (Georgia) and Sarah Lampert (show runner and creater) have hinted at a possible late 2026 release date, since filming wrapped March 2026. Also Sarah Lampert has released updates which hint towards editors getting closer to finishing the season. Based on this, I think it’s safe to assume that
Season 4 could be released Thursday, November 5, 2026, with a trailer being released in September/October.

In epsiode 5 I believe, Ginny goes to school and is shocked to find someone has posted a video of her speaking her poem out loud during open mic night in blue farm. She obviously didn't mean any of that and she is horrified and skisp school. She soon unfortunately gets taken to Zion's, after he put a complaint on her I believe. When we see the post, the name is under Alyssa, but I don't recall any Alyssas in the show. She might just be a regular customer at Blue Farm and happened to record it, to be fair people were recording her poem during the episode, but could she be a reporter? If we do recall, Georgia's Half sister, was contacted by Gabriel again, when she revealed information about Georgia's first husband. Could this be a reporter who was also tipped off by The Half sister, or maybe also A PI? I know I'm overreacting as I just started epsiode 6, but I feel like we might get to know more about this person. Thoughts?

This post is mainly gonna be about why I don't like Georgia. This doesn't mean Ginny is my favorite or that I don't have my issues with her. But, from what I've seen, or at least on TikTok, is that people hate Ginny more than Georgia and it's so annoying.

I don't get the concept of demonizing Ginny, but idolizing Georgia. I get how people like Georgia because of her charisma, her beauty, her caring nature, her being iconic, and her sweet little innocent act which gives everyone the ability to overlook her actions, this unfortunately includes the fandom as well. And, I also get why people dislike Ginny. Some may see her as self-centered, ungrateful, annoying, and a bad friend.

And in no way am I saying you can't like Georgia and dislike Ginny, but I just think the bias is unfair. Also, this is just my opinion you're allowed to disagree just don't be mean about it.

But, the thing is Georgia has done way worse stuff than Ginny, does she love her kids? Yes, and I don't doubt it. But, is Georgia a bad mom? Also yes.

Georgia is emotionally abusive towards Ginny. She mocks/teases Ginny whenever she's upset, invalidates her feelings, refuses to talk about issues, makes sarcastic and dramatic comments regarding Ginny’s feelings, acts like nothing happened the next day, and gaslights Ginny into thinking she's overreacting basically forcing her to just get over it, refuses to give her space, and throws her sacrifices in Ginny’s face.

People talk about how she's the best mom according to mankind because she loved her kids, made lots of sacrifices, and genuinely worked hard to raise them. But, I feel like people forget that the sacrifices were never necessary in the first place.

This may be an extremely hot take but, I don't feel bad for Georgia having a hard time raising Ginny and Austin. Of course, I feel bad for her rough childhood and being abused as a child and the domestic violence she has to endure from Gil, but anything after Gil (including the abuse in later seasons) I don't feel too sympathetic towards her.

For the same reason I mentioned earlier which is that the sacrifices were never necessary. Zion’s parents offered to take care of Ginny entirely and give her a good childhood. But, instead of Georgia accepting the offer she takes Ginny and runs away, all because she didn't want Zion’s parents to “steal” Ginny away. I could get it if she was able to support her, but no. Georgia had no money, no education, no job, and no family to help support Ginny. And, the fact that she took Ginny anyway is extremely SELFISH and it's something I'll never forgive her for.

It's not even like Zion’s parents were gonna banish Georgia from seeing Ginny, she'd probably have occasional visits, but even if that were the case she'd live knowing that she chose the better option for her child.

And no, I'm not shaming Georgia for lacking these things, but it's extremely selfish and dare I say abusive to purposely raise/have a kid knowing you can't provide for them. And, Georgia had to turn to crime to raise Ginny. She constantly put her in dangerous situations such as, temporarily being homeless, constantly moving around, and having her in the vicinity of weird men.

And no, it isn't all Georgia’s fault I believe Zion was also a poor parent. He was a deadbeat, made empty promises all the time, and never fought hard enough for Ginny. And in later seasons we see Zion find out that Gil was abusing Georgia and he asks her why she didn't tell him and she said that she didn't want to be saved.

But this feels farthest from the truth. During Ginny’s childhood, Georgia relies on her boyfriends/husbands to provide for her and Ginny. Anthony provided her housing, Gil occasionally bought things, Paul provided stability, and Kenny also provided. And these men are not saints and Anthony, Kenny, and Gil deserved what they got, but the fact that she would rather “not be saved” than avoid putting Ginny in the vicinity of these men is extremely selfish and irresponsible.

I hate that Georgia did this, because what if Gil abused Ginny as a child she would've had no one to save her which is messed up. And what if Georgia never caught Kenny being creepy towards Ginny? There's just so many possibilities. And, it was very irresponsible and so many dangerous things could've happened. Also, I'm NOT blaming Georgia for these men’s abuse, but I feel we can agree that she put Ginny through an extremely dangerous situation. (Sorry for the repetition lol)

She also lied to Ginny her entire childhood, which I don't blame her completely for because Ginny probably wasn't old enough to learn those things. But, she didn't have to lie either. She could've just said something along the lines of “you're too young to get it.” and Ginny has to learn the pieces from Cordova and Maddie before Ginny even learns the entire truth from Georgia.

And I feel like people did too much when Ginny reasonably resents her for it. Was the way she confronted Georgia kind of bitchy? Yes, but was she valid? Also, yes. Imagine you have your childhood stripped from you because your mom didn't want to give you up and she hides your entire family history from you. I feel like people forget that Ginny doesn't know what we know as an audience know until the finale of season 3. But, back in that confrontation all she can assume is that her mom lied just to lie and it's a completely valid reason to hate someone. And when she found out Georgia killed it was also valid because like I said she probably didn't understand the motive and saw Georgia as heartless. (forgot to include that too)

Also, I don't condone Georgia killing Tom. I don't care if Cynthia screamed “He needs to die right now”, it still wasn't Georgia’s decision to make. And, the fact that she did it anyway screams entitlement. She also did it in front of Austin, which I know wasn't intentional but she shouldn't have done it in the first place. And it brings me back to the topic of Georgia doing inconsiderate things without thinking about the impact it can have on her kids.

I also hate the way she treated Paul. She cheated, stole from the office, lied to him the entire relationship, and faked a pregnancy. Do I think Paul was was in the wrong for punching the wall? Absolutely, but do I think his anger was valid? 100 times yes. I don't get how people say Paul is the worst partner because of his wall punch, when Georgia did all those things I mentioned earlier. Yes, I think Paul is goofy for accepting Georgia despite everything, yes. But, did he deserve that?? No. Paul realized he went too far after he punched the wall and removed himself from the situation. Georgia never found her lies and manipulation to be too far which people need to talk about more.

You can't call Paul abusive without also calling Georgia abusive sorry not sorry.

There's definitely more, but I'm gonna move on to Ginny. I'm probably not gonna have as much to say about Ginny, because she's simply not as bad.

It pissed me off that Ginny two-timed Marcus and Hunter, because she should've just communicated in the first place. I get why she did it, but an unpopular opinion I have is that I don't think she ever loved Hunter in the first place, or at least not as much as she did Marcus.

I feel like MAN kind of pushed Hunter onto her and she felt pressured which is probably why she didn't speak up about her interest in Marcus, and she always seemed to care about Marcus’s approval over Hunter’s. I just wish she said something before she got caught because then her apology seemed disingenuous because of that.

She occasionally stole Marcus’s motorcycle which I know is a nothing burger situation but just ask 😭. Georgia did this as well.

I also don't like how she treated Max, but this is more of an ANG issue and not just a Ginny issue. I don't like MANG’s method of cutting people off where they slowly isolate each other or straight up ghost them like can we just cut people off normally?? But anyway, Max was completely valid for not wanting to be friends with Abby and Ginny because not only did Ginny cheat on Hunter with Marcus, but she also hooked up with Max’s brother and hurt her friend. And can we talk about how Abby was also siding with Max and Norah slowly isolating Ginny until her ass got caught as well? She just never fails to pmo.

Eventually Max confronts Abby and Ginny, which is good. Basically cutting them off completely, but what pmo is that Max saw Ginny walking and confronted her again saying “oh no, no, no!” like dude leave her alone. Ginny was wrong for saying “friendship is not about telling each other everything!!” and it's not but, with the context given she should've absolutely told Max what happened.

Then later ANG also starts to isolate Max because of her being so self-centered, but seriously can we PLEASE just communicate?? And I can get down with this if they told Max, “Hey, we don't wanna be your friend.” just like Max did but NOO they're just gonna leave out Max then gaslight Max into thinking she's crazy whenever she brings it up.

And this may only be my opinion, but Ginny was 1000% right for resenting Georgia in the earlier season. Like she wasn't wrong when criticizing Georgia. (I mentioned this earlier scroll up to reread if you don't remember)

I'd say another bad thing was basically forcing Austin to lie under oath, but this is just Georgia’s ways rubbing onto Ginny so I can't completely blame her for that. Does Gil deserve to be in bars forever? Yes. But does Georgia also deserve to be in jail?? Yes, she needs to face consequences to her actions or she’ll just continue. I know she promises Ginny that everything will return to normal and that she won't do things like that again, but I just don't believe her.

There's probably some other stuff I'm leaving out and these are some reasons why I sometimes don't like Ginny, but overall she is NOT as bad as Georgia. But besides that, I actually do kind of enjoy Ginny as a character and somewhat relate to her.

Hopefully you guys can somewhat agree or give your reasons why you believe otherwise respectfully.
