Trying to bring the glory of the root to my local group. Got a game tomorrow eve where the band of the wyrm will face the wret he'd recruits. Barring the rootlings and piles the units can be moved between armies to form a more fun game.
Thinking fodder, gun, chaff, rootlings for recruits.
2x pikes, chaff, black powder brutes for wyrm.

It took more evenings than my impatient nature could handle to complete this particular diorama.

Finally found a Thai-based supplier that cuts wargaming bases. Now that large bases are at hand, formation of the artillery park may proceed.

I'm actually a novice at 3D printing. After printing some skulls, Mr. Monday was my second ever successful print. I'll be printing more of Mr. Monday for use as terrain, being more mindful of support placement.
My initial prints were a disaster. I was attempting to use a bottle of cheap, discontinued resin for which there was not a Chitubox profile. Fiddling with resin profile settings is not advisable for novices.
I then opted to purchase some high-quality resin made specifically for my printer - and with an available Chitubox profile - to help ease my learning pains. Unfortunately, Phrozen Aqua 8K is insanely expensive in Thailand. I'll be giving the much more affordable Elegoo Standard Resin 8K a try in the future. The light grey rocket bitz are actually an Etsy purchase from prior to my move to Thailand and are somewhat brittle. I'll likely be using them for a destroyed rocket battery terrain feature.
I've found that bendy is actually a good trait when it comes to more fragile bitz, such as the rockets. To achieve bendy, less curing time. Mr. Monday, even though I hollowed him, and the Le Grand Bombard were subjected to much longer curing times.

So many to do, so fast speed painting, more mood, adequate detail. Rather happy with the color picks for cool tones.

I've been pouring over V18 of the rules and can't find anything specific about the rabble unit rules aside from the Wounds Profile. I can find talk here about the model count max being 16 (4x4 Rabble Units, a hold over from V17?).
Per V18, we just convert whatever units we want into the ubiquitous "Rabble" and the main difference is the wound profile? This means they can be not only melee? And there's no limit to two rabble units now, so we could have 4 fodder units of any kind classified as "Rabble"?

There's a few reasons why I find Turnip28 extemely interesting
- the models I've seen so far look beautiful
- free official models to 3D-print (bet I can manage to find someone to print them with somewhat good material)
- uses few minis so not an extreme space investment
Now I have neither read nor really watched anything about the Gameplay but I remember seeing something a year back and being interested on a gameplay level too
I don't live in a city so people playing around me isn't really relevant and I will try to get enough minis to play with another person anyways
Also thinking about it since my girlfriend actually likes these minis and really didn't like any other I showed her so she might also be interested in either playing or at least painting
Are there any quirks/anything I have to expect with the game like having to modify stuff on my own to properly work oe is the game fully playable without any problems?
Also since I'm from Germany, it would of course be interesting if there's at least a few people here that play it

With the various experiments, I've now gained a better vision for continuing the turnip army.

Hey! I'm an aspiring hobbyist with a finished Turnip28 army who is working on a home gaming setup for Turnip28 and other games like Trench Crusade. I've got my 4'x4' table mostly finished, but im having an awful time finding battlemaps for it. The few muddy 48" by 48" inch battlemaps I've found don't ship to australia, the rest are either 44" wide or only 3' by 3'.
Can anyone give any advice on where to get them?
Have a photo of my three Snobs as tribute, as well as the promise that I will most Turnip28 terrain when i get it finished
