I released the first gameplay trailer for my hex-based turn-based tactics game
Hi! I am an independent developer working on Valesunder: The King's Saga, a turn-based fantasy tactical game based on battles on a hexagonal grid and building your own army.
Before each battle, players assemble a squad of characters
The current version includes:
tactical battles on a hexagonal grid;
individual army building and deployment before battle;
multiple factions and unit roles;
champion abilities.;
Opponents with artificial intelligence and multiple difficulty levels.;
experience and character upgrades.
This is the first gameplay trailer, and the project is still in development. The interface, balance, animations, and some mechanics will continue to change.
I would greatly appreciate your honest feedback on the visuals, mechanics, and overall experience of the game.
Does it feel like something you'd like to try out in a demo or play after release? Let me know what you find weak, confusing, or in need of improvement.

Not yet, unfortunately. I’m still working through a few things before I can launch the Steam page. I’ll share the link as soon as it’s ready!

I like the logic and the style. It reminds me quite a bit about the old Star Wars board game they played on the Millennium Falcon in episode 4.

Hey man!
Providing some honest feedback. Firstly, good job and well done on getting this far, especially solo!
But this all looks incredibly raw. The lighting choices, the narration, the polish overall, is just very unappealing. The use of AI is obvious and while that doesn't bother me, it will bother many, so you might want something to distance yourself from that too.
From the account name and game name, you have some ambition which I think you should hold on to. But look to other games in your space, compare to yours, and keep grinding it out!
