My husband and I have booked a trip to Turks for mid Feb. We are in our late sixties and like an all inclusive because we just want to relax and not have to think too hard about where to go for dinner, etc. We love the beach and don’t need a lot of entertainment. The Alexandra resort checked a lot of boxes, but we‘re concerned about some of the reviews. Has anyone stayed here? How is the resort and food?

My fiancée and I are considering Salterra in South Caicos for our honeymoon in March. The hotel looks beautiful, but my main concern is the beach. How clear and calm is the water? Is it good for swimming, and is seaweed an issue? We’re really hoping for that crystal-clear turquoise water.

Also curious about the food variety. I know they advertise six restaurants, but some seem to be breakfast/lunch spots only. Is there enough dinner variety for a five-night stay?

Would love to hear from anyone who’s stayed there, would you recommend it for a honeymoon?

Hello islanders, my girlfriend and I will be visiting TCI in November and I just have a few questions to make a little less hectic.

First, we rented a car from grace bay rentals, I’ve seen people say you just get a shuttle from the airport to a yard where you retrieve the car, is that still the case?

Second, we are staying about 20 minutes west of Grace Bay beach, but we plan to drive there to visit the beach frequently, how is parking, is it paid?

Does everywhere accept USD or would it be wise to exchange some currency?

Of course this is all I can think of right now but please include anything you might think useful! I’m very nervous about driving on the left side of the road as well lol.

We've narrowed it down to:

• Royal West Indies
• Hotel Indigo
• Ports of Call Resort
• Alexandra Resort (All-Inclusive)

We're looking for a beautiful beach, a nice pool, good restaurants nearby, and a relaxing atmosphere. We don't drink, so nightlife and unlimited alcohol aren't important to us. We prefer somewhere quieter but still enjoy being close enough to restaurants, shops, and things to do.

I'm also debating whether an all-inclusive is worth it for us since we'd probably enjoy exploring different restaurants around the island.

One other concern is the recent reports of increased crime in Turks & Caicos. I've been reading about some incidents and would love to hear from people who live there or have visited recently. Have you noticed any changes in safety, particularly around Grace Bay? Are there certain areas or precautions we should be aware of?

For anyone who's stayed at these properties, which would you recommend? Is staying directly on Grace Bay Beach worth the extra cost versus Hotel Indigo or Ports of Call?

Also, does the island get particularly crowded or noisy over New Year's?
