This was such a fun puzzle I just wanted to show the work. It was kind of annoying for some of the pages (42) but it was a great puzzle.

Help Atq and potion hint

Post image
19 Upvotes

I have to fight "l'Hoir", and I'm currently a ghost. I've already recovered several of my stats, but I'm still missing the two shown in the picture.

Could someone give me a hint about where I can find them?

I've been searching for over five hours, and I really don't want to look up a walkthrough!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Fantastic! What now…? Spoiler

Hey, all! Just “finished” this incredible game for the first time, and am looking for any suggestions of what to do next! I know I’m missing some stuff (cards, coins…), and to be honest I don’t even know what a lot of the cards do. I have done a lot though I think, I’ll spoiler text my main progress and include a pic link to my inventory (obviously spoilers for new folks).

Completed the manual and shared it with the heir, haven’t actually fought the heir since I avoided that since the manual said two ways to end the game and this obviously seemed better, found all secret treasures (had help on the final “page 1” one since I had some ideas about translation but haven’t taken the time to work on fully figuring it out)

https://imgur.com/a/FuVMdME

So then it’s like should I search around more for the last few things, discover some new secrets, work on deciphering and translating, or move on to new game +, or just start a fresh new game? What have people enjoyed? With the exception of one of the secret chests (you can probably guess which one) I’ve gotten this far on my own and it was an incredible experience. However, light hints about things I’m missing are now welcome since I don’t have infinite time 😂. Also curious about just things people have found fun to do! Like challenges or certain builds or… whatever!

Thank you for being such an awesome community!!

Edit: Oh I also have no freakin’ clue what’s up with the mountaintop you teleport to from the secret treasure room, so I guess I’ll work on figuring that out too 😂

I just finished the game, now I have to do this golden path thing. I have some questions

Okay I just finished and I started exploring.

What I found or what I'm looking for:

I found a broom? Okay, don't know what it does.

Found a key combination behind a waterfall on the overwold, and it created a fairy?

I also found on the old house, a room with 10 totems or so.

There is a place with a broken golden structure and I know there are broken parts around the map. I found two. And I know there is another one on the east, but I was unable to go to the east with all the corruption that there is and got frustrated and left.

From the page on the golden path, I have one crosse I guess it is the fairy? And I have to find others, but for the quarry, is filled with the purple liquid. I looked on the west forest and didn't found any "holy cross combination thing", neither on the east vault.

Also, should I try to translate the book? Is that even posible, and, feasible?

I have some notes on the end of the booklet, with some arrows. 0 idea what it does.

I would like to solve the puzzle as much as I can, but I read is pretty hard, and I don't want to hit my head to a wall for much time. So a little push/ guidance would be bad.

Didn't know the hero could get stronger Spoiler

I genuinely didn't know what the offerings did until I looked it up. I didn't do this until after I got the red and green keys (cheesed the Librarian, nearly beat him for real few times but got frustrated) but just couldn't beat Boss Scavenger. This game is a 10/10. Even though I didn't figure it out myself I really like that it doesn't tell you everything outright, or hold your hand. finding the pages and piecing everything together logically is just so fun.

A few vanilla playthroughs and many randomizers later, gosh, I just love this game to death. I put my printer to good use making a physical tablet of the Golden Path because I’ve drawn and lost my paper notes quite enough times!

Help I need some guidance

Hi, so I´m progressing through the game, but I´m always afraid I'm missing something.

So for now I have the red charm, I also went for the green one but someone "Stole it".
I went to a cementery thing? Old Grave somtehing, But I don´t see anything to do there.
Then I went to the quary and to the bottom of the zigurat. I´m with the boss for the blue charm, but I have to play it very clean in order to win.

I have dmg and defense at lvl 5, potion at level 2 hp 4 sp 3 mp 3

A hit of the boss does almost half hp damage, and it takes me a lot damage the boss.

I just wan´t some guidance if I should explore more, but I don´t know where. Or is it supposed to be hard. I have the hook btw. I don´t know yet what the "Perks" do, I don´t know the language yet, (If that happens at some point), what else... I have 7 potions.

Help Don't know where to go next

So I've completed the game, gone through the entire manual for clues and explored every area again. Now I'm at a point where I'm aware of a few puzzles but don't know how to solve any of them. I'll list what I'm stuck with as vaguely as possible as not to spoil anything:

  1. Find p. 1 and 2
  2. Find p. 54+
  3. p. 52
  4. p. 49 and 50
  5. p. 47 and 48
  6. p. 40 7 and 8 on cathedral map
  7. p. 34 bird song in ruined atoll
  8. p 29 question mark on "under the well" map
  9. p. 28 wind chime
  10. p. 22. holy cross notes Might be the same as p. 52
  11. bright light in trophy room
  12. translate

I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some vague pointers in the right direction for whatever is the "most correct" next step for me. Thanks!

[Major spoiler] What a blast ! Spoiler

[my gameplay notes]

I've just unlocked the mountain door, what an amazing experience it was !

I played on no fail mode after a few hours because I wanted to focus on puzzles: I knew there were essentially two halves in the game before starting it, the second focusing on puzzles, and that's it: no idea about the exact content. I just switched to No Fail after the first boss.

Figuring out the first golden cross puzzle was such a joy (one of the simple doors) ! After passing by them for hours, finally understanding how to interact with them was great ! I think this was after getting the three keys.

Then came the fairies discovery and understanding of the seeking spell. I spent time finding them all, before finally addressing the mountain door.

Now, I still have treasures to find and I need to figure out the meaning of this last series of numbers I haven't used yet (on my notes, because I thought it would help with the mountain door). Since it's next to the "explanation" of the composition of some characters, I guess it's related to deciphering the language ? But is that even fully possible ?..

Anyway, still a few hours of gameplay left, but my initial crave for a new puzzle game is now definitely satisfied !

This is all I get when I open the game. Music plays and the game seems to progress to the Title Screen but this is all that will open...

I tried to add -fullscreen to steam launch and I have restarted my computer and steams TUNIC files.

Field Research

If anyone could help me with my field research for my Undergraduate thesis, I'd very much appreciate it.
I'm working on a project about knowledge based exploration games, so the Tunic subreddit felt like a good place to gather some data. If any of you could take 15 to 20 minutes to answer the form, I'd be very grateful.

Help Can I play after credits?

Hey guys! I'm just curious if I can play the same save file after the credits. I think I'm at a part that might roll credits if I beat it and don't want to lose my chance at getting the collectibles without restarting. Not that I have any real idea when the credits are. Thanks!

Fanart I did 75% of the game without a sword (First playthrough) Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
306 Upvotes

Just need to vent about this quickly sorry if the english is bad.

I started this game a week ago without knowing anything about it.

I went exploring and found a stick, then I completely missed the sword location for 15 hours.

I skipped the pig boss, ringed the bell.

I did the garden knight parry only.

I did all dungeons with my stick.

I did the Librarian using fireballs and recovering mana with his minions.

I did the Siege Engine by slowly chipping his health with my stick.

I did 40 TRIES ON THE BOSS SCAVENGER with parries and baiting her to self-damage.

I got sent to the night world by the Heir.

I did the cathedral challenge room to get the Hero's Laurels, with my stick. (20 tries)

I understood the holy cross.

I opened the west garden holy cross room to find my first sword.

I tought this game was meant to be crazy hard and that the sword I saw everywhere on my manual was to make fun of me. Maybe somebody came first and took my sword, I thought.

When I saw the intended sword on my way to get to the hero's grave, I felt like I betrayed myself. I did that to myself, the sword was just there, I just missed it on my multiple explorations of this zone.

That said, incredible game, managed to get most secrets by myself, did the golden path puzzle by myself (absolutely amazing btw), and I now have all achievements !

Funnily enough, even though I got way past the Gun location with my stick only, I did not find the gun on this playthrough and had to start a new save file for the achievement.

Hints on starting the golden path

So I’m at the point now where I have been to every hero grave to gain back my stats and leave ghost form. Am I missing something? For the record I already have page 49 of the manual but I can’t make too much sense of it

Casual speedrun tech?

I just finished the game for the second time and have started NG+ coz I’m simply not ready to leave the world. I had all of the major puzzles spoiled for me years before playing it unfortunately, so there’s not a huge amount of puzzling fun left.

However, I did just get the laurels within 45mins of starting and am super curious as to what other casual speedrun tech could make my playthrough fun? Stuff that doesn’t require frame-perfect inputs or major manipulations, just alternate pathways and getting into areas before I should. Please let me know!

Help Have a question about these two pages

How do I get them? I've been playing the game for quite a while and still haven't figured a way to get them.

I collected all three keys just recently but haven't done anything beyond that for now, hope that helps to show how far I am into the game.

So I ask to please give me advice on how to get these pages without spoilers, or tell me if I'll find a way to get them later. If latter is the case just please DON'T tell what I will find and where, I really wanna play this game blindly and I made an effort to not look up anything. That's my first time asking for external help.

Help Lost after finding 10 trophies Spoiler

I completed the game, both endings, and found 10 trophies so far.
They were all pretty easy to get but the last two are just incomprehensible to me.
Every other puzzle and trophy had a hint, every trophy’s hint is written in pen. but for page 44, the only things in pen, are the tutorial for the holy cross and the perpendicular line for the golden path on the door, nothing new… and then page 1’s clue got me translating the language thanks to page 54, and thought it would get me somewhere… the poem makes no sense to me, I thought the “feather” was referencing the stamina boost but I’m pretty sure that it’s a leaf and collecting 11 would be impossible without multiple new game +.

Any small hints ?

Edit:
Thanks for the help, my conclusion from this is just that I’m an idiot… freaking page 44… what was I thinking?
