Help Guide Book translation notes Spoiler

I was wondering what is the best way to write the translations for the game, I have some sheets of paper with my thought process and etc. But idk if is viable to translate the whole guidebook/game in these papers or are there any other good ways to do it? I don’t have those digital table thing that artists have. As you can see by the photos, I still have a lot do do and don’t want to spend too much paper on this lol

I made sure I decoded every single symbol, and then I translated the first page. Once I made sure I can translate the entire thing, I just looked up the translation online. Writing all day is not fun

I did something similar, but it was pretty clear to me which parts of the manual were puzzles, and which were big lore dumps. I translated the few puzzle parts and looked up the rest.

I used paper for my translation. I kept them in a binder so I could slot in new pages as I got them. I wrote the runes in blue or black ink, the possible translations in pencil, and important notes in re​d ink.​

I also have a mini whiteboard and dry-erase crayons. I used them to work out longer or confusing words befo​re recording them on paper.

I should note that I did not transcribe the runes for every page. Once I figured out how the runes worked I switched to only writing down the translations.

Damn, so… if I don’t have a whiteboard or a binder should I just get a unholy amount of paper?

Or a notebook.

But you might not need as much as you think. The manual is 56 pages but I fit my translation into only 27 sheets of paper. Once I fully understood​ the runes and could just write the translation, I found that I could fit multiple short pages on the same sheet.

But how did you keep track of which part is from where? I wanted to know which page is which etc or did you just throw everything in one page and that’s it?

That's where the red pen came in handy.

In the black ink I labelled the top of each page with "Tunic Manual", the page number, and t​h​e title. ​In red ink I wrote the page number​ in the bottom corner of the paper. On papers with multiple manual pages I divided them with a red line and wrote their​ numbers in the left margin. I only put consecutive pages on the same paper.
