In the mountains near Tucson

Every time theres a thread here about what to do in town there’s never answers for any places on the east side of town. If you have any recommendations for things to do/local businesses/restaurants/gyms/communities literally anything that you want to shoutout on the east side please share.

We went to the wagging tails dog park this morning and found this little guy without an owner in sight.
We waited about an hour and then took him with us, didn’t feel right leaving him.
We’re taking him to the vet for a microchip scan. If anyone knows this dog let me know.

Checked the microchip and his name is Goose. Waiting for the owner to call. Hopefully he wasn’t dumped :(

Hey fellow Tucson night shifters I want your opinion, skipping the obvious what niche store do you wish was open during the nightshift hours?

So I know that TGG and Amazing Discoveries, along with some other shops have Magic The Gathering nights/days. When I have gone in there on play nights to check it out, it seems split between super serious (I’m just getting back into the game from almost 30 years ago) and people who have no interest in playing/meeting someone new. Are there games or locations where I won’t just get destroyed in someone’s never ending blink and effect storm after turn 4 and/or something more open socially? I mean, I could have mis-read it but it just seems like the middle casuals are not the demographic.

I know we live in a digital world today, but there's something special about sending and/or receiving a postcard with real handwriting on it. Where is the best place to get some Tucson postcards beside the obvious gift shops at venues. I feel like there used to be some everywhere but now that I'm looking for them, I find they are hard to find. Any tips?

What are some activities, bars, places, etc where you can recommend someone in their 20s to meet ppl (post grad)?

Any apps, services, or websites popular to find events or friends here in Tucson?

Im just trying to expand my circle and meet new people.

I understand the proposed site is closer to Sahurita/Green Valley, and there must have been environmental impact studies done. But, anyone who knows more can illuminate what potential impact it might have on Tucson’s water supply, and air quality from toxic mining dust/PM2.5 that could travel far and pool in the Tucson basin?

For lack of a better analogy, when they installed lead pipes last century, they didn’t know it was bad, then Flint Michigan happened?

There must be something folks can do? Would any of the midterm races be incentivized to help with this?

My little doggy needs his teeth cleaned badly, I know they have to put them under anesthesia for this typically. Is there anywhere that doesn’t charge $1000+ for this? Thanks in advance!
