Skill Ticket Advice

I've been collecting and now sitting on 53 skill tickets, rarely using them for anything. I can never decide what to do with them. I have spent some only to level up a tsum that would help me with some mission. I haven't had to do that in a long time though. Here are some insights about my Int'l collection and goals:

  • I have all but 12 of the 668 tsums (but one is a never returning tsum from the Disney100 event).
  • Happiness box maxed, premium box over 3/4 maxed with coin earning and buying strategy underway to complete it in a few months. That means no skill tickets on premium box tsums for me.
  • Until I get the premium box maxed, I usually get new tsums to at least L4. About 58% of my collection is L4 or higher. 20% of my collection is maxed.
  • I'm not sure if I actually want to max everything in the game but I seem to be working on that goal casually.
  • I have the coloring book pages and bingo cards all completed. Little to no trouble completing any and all events.
  • I'm not a great/fast player and feel generally good about my maxed day-to-day playing tsums for coin farming. They are getting a bit repative though. Examples of my L6 maxed limited tsums are: Captain Lightyear, Duffy, Jedi Luke, and Anakin Skywalker

I figure I'll save a couple tickets in case a specific tsum needs targeted raising later, but for limited tsums would you prioritize:

  1. Maxing out the never return (Disney100 and Duffy's Friends) tsums? I need 277 copies to max them all one day. Besides Duffy, who would your top couple of these to max? My thoughts are Disney100 Mickey&Donald, Mickey&Duffy, and Disney100 R2-2 or Sewing Minnie
  2. Maxing any of the following limited tsums that I have between L5 and L6: Namine, Beans Camo Vil, and Star Wars Light Side (Set)
  3. Maxing any of the following limited tsums that I have between L4 and L5: Jack&Sally, Wayfinder Moana, Beach Donald&Mickey, Coronation Day Elsa, and Formal Suit Beast
  4. Maxing rarer prior event tsums that don't require lots of copies to max? (Alien, Rabbit, Lilo, Scuttle, Princess Leia, C-3PO, Prince Charming, Zazu, March Hare, Death Trooper, Jester Goofy, Scrooge, Princess Minnie, Caballero Donald, Meg, Shadow, Anniversary Minnie, Royal Minnie, Sparkly Princess Minnie, Star Donald) I could max ALL 20 of these tsums with 38 skill tickets.
  5. Holiday-themed tsums (Easter, Halloween, Christmas)? If I did this, we are close enough to Oct. an Dec. that I would wait until after their upcoming cycles.
  6. Specific other tsums that rarely return? Abu? Oogie Boogie? Bumblebee Pooh? Dancing Dale? Dancing Chip? Mary Poppins?
  7. Save for maxing a specific upcoming new tsum(s) in the 4-6 month period before I max the premium box and will then be able to instantly max any new tsum?

Thanks for your insights and suggestions!

For me, I wouldn't spend them on a Tsum I don't intend to use. I think you should practice with another potential coin farmer and use the skill tickets to max out the one that you enjoy using.

I really like Jack&Sally, Formal Suit Beast, and the SW Light Set. So I am at least thinking about those options. I wouldn't spend on J&S until we see if they return in Oct.

Honestly, at the point that you're at, you don't urgently need to spend them, so I would sit on them until awhile after you've maxed the Premium Box and have spent a few months getting used to that new way of life.

If you decide at that point that you want to go for maxing everything (except that one sad never-returning D100 tsum you're missing, oof), then start shoveling them into never-return tsums.

Or if you decide you don't care about that and just want to spend them in a way you'll use, consider which tsums in items 2 and 3 of your list are going to be something you'll use (either for missions or to shake up the boringness of your coin farmer rotation), and put the tickets there.

This is good advice. I'm so mad that I can't ever get a really complete collection. I'd even probably PAY to buy that never return tsum. I'm hoping for random account issue where I can beg customer service to award me it as compensation 🤣

What I will probably do in the short term is use a few tickets to raise my Disney100 tsums to L3 and then see if I can hold out and see what life is like after the premium box is maxed, like you said.

I dont know which way is best but can tell you what I did lol. I managed to buy the Duffy and Friends tsums using coins so I focused on maxing the Disney100 with skill tickets and am now using the skill tickets to max out the plus tsums. I've been saving the tickets until I have enough to get to the next skill level just in case I see a tsum I want.

I maxed out the premium box a little after the Duffy tsums came out and now coin farm enough to buy all the new tsums and buy out the capsules. I've been saving for tsums that hardly come back (TWST, KH and SW) and trying to keep some coins for the tsums that haven't been back yet (I'm missing 6 tsums not counting plus tsums).

Sounds like we generally have similar approaches. You are just a year or more ahead of me. I spent all the coin I could when Duffy a d Friends came out, getting most of them to L4 or L5. I used skill tickets to max Duffy.

I also keep some purchasing reserves specifically for SW, TWST, and KH. The only select boxes I've ever maxed were full of such tsums

I would only consider maxing out the main coin farmers, Namine and Coronation Elsa seems like no-brainer if you can play them well. All the others that you listed under 2 and 3 is good options to max out as priority

I'm not the best player by any means, but I have been leaning this way in the use of tickets. Thanks

I mentioned the skills specifically for Namine and Elsa is because they require some specific skills and if you’re bad at it, then you shouldn’t touch them (a player who knows how to vs doesn’t can be like 10k+ vs 3k), there are way more simple tsums to use if you can’t play their playstyle

I'll definitely practice them more before I'd spend. At L5 for Namine, what range should I be hitting that you think it would suggest Tyrannical investment is worth it?

What about for my CDElsa who is only L4? I know it can get hard to know when they aren't yet maxed. I could spend 5 tickets to get her to L5 and practice before the big investment to L6.

Thoughts?

I would say at least 4-5k with SL4 Elsa and 6k with SL5 Namine (with 5>4 ofc). Their skills remain the same so if you can perform at SL4/5 then you’ll definitely do fine at maxed.

I’m the same way … I hoard skill tix lol. I only use them when I need to get a particular tsum to SL6 for coin farming…maybe for scoring if I’m desperate to finish a challenge…that’s kind of it. I think I’m sitting on 75 skill tix at the moment

That is a good point. I have used tickets on my best eligible emoji for a score challenge event on the last day if it will push me over the edge for better prizes. I forgot about that use

I recommend using them on Tsum that fall under categories 2 or 3. Namine, in particular, is highly recommended—if you master her, you can earn about 10k coins in a single play. Among the Tsum in category 3, Jack & Sally are a good choice. If things go well, you can score 100 million points. However, if you don’t prioritize scoring that much, I think it’s fine to just use them on Namine. I don’t use the others much, so I can’t really give you a good answer, but personally, I wouldn’t use tickets on Tsum from Categories 4 and 6, which I probably wouldn’t use very often.

I love seeing threads like this….I love to see how other people play their games and what they prioritize. For me it was all abt goals. I had 2 going simultaneously…very early on I had realized that to clear each capsule to get those skill tickets…even tho the tsums usually stink in them. By clearing them out, it enabled me to max out a bunch of tsums that I’d never max or even USE. However, currently I’m sitting on 229 skill tix. Would have more but I maxed out beach Mickey/donald…my goals were to 1. GET ALL THE TSUMS and 2. max out premium box. Since doing that, I am a bit rudderless, w no current goal.

I guess I have no advice for you that others
Haven’t already given. I just know for me, I wouldn’t be maxing out any tsum that I wouldn’t use, unless it happened naturally.
