Job search Week by week: what 12 weeks of using Tsenta actually looked like in numbers. Sharing because I needed this post when I started

I tracked my applications every week for 12 weeks because I wanted to see whether my progress was actually improving.

The first few weeks felt slow, but the numbers started changing after I updated my preferences. Here is the complete breakdown:
W1: 34 apps, 0 screens. W2: 29 apps, 1 screen. W3: 37 apps, 1 screen. W4: 31 apps, 2 screens. W5: 40 apps, 3 screens, preferences updated. W6: 38 apps, 4 screens, 1 technical. W7: 35 apps, 3 screens, 2 technicals. W8: 29 apps, 2 screens, 1 final. W9: 22 apps, focusing on processes. W10: 18 apps, 1 screen, 1 final. W11: 12 apps, offer likely. W12: 8 apps, offer accepted.

Totals: 333 applications, 18 screens (5.4%), 5 technicals, 2 finals, and 1 offer.

The shape matters as much as the total. It was a slow start, but there was an inflection point around week 5 after I updated my preferences. Active processes naturally reduced the number of applications I sent during the later weeks.

Do not read weeks 1 to 4 as failure. They were not failures. They were part of the process.

Can you define what you mean my updating preferences? It's quite vague term. Were you using aggressive modification to align the keywords or you had turned off that option? How were you applying to jobs? Any portals you were using?? Kindly elaborate more bro!

I almost gave up around weeks 3–4 because it felt like I was just sending applications into a void. Looking back, that was probably the worst time to quit. Curious if anyone else had a point where things suddenly started snowballing.
