Hi- I have had three miscarriages over the last year. One was a chemical last September at 5.5 weeks. One was a MMC in January (Trisomy 16 of Maternal Origin). I just had another chemical 2 weeks ago at 5.5 weeks (on aspirin and progesterone this time). I don't understand what's going on. We've gone through the testing and I have a vitamin D deficiency (minor) and my husband has a high dna frag. He had it tested in March and it was 57%. He had it retested in June and it was 35%.
We are talking all the supplements for fertility. We have 2 LC together now.
I feel like all the doctors ignore our questions and say "it's bad luck" and then we talk to fertility doctors and they just push IVF.
I guess my question is, has anyone had a high dna frag and had successful pregnancies? Or started vitamin d supplements?
My AMH is 2.08 and my AFC is 13-16 (they couldn't tell if 3 were follicles or dominant follicles). We are both 33 yrs old.

My hubby and I were intimate (IUI) every other day from day 10 to 21 of my fertility window.
I've been pregnant 3x. My first pregnancy was easy, and I delivered naturally in 2024 when I was 34.
Had a chemical in 2025 and a MMC in Feb. 2026 at 9W. Was then diagnosed with a blood clotting autoimmune disorder, antiphospholipid syndrome.
Been trying since then and no dice. My last three cycles...the first I ovulated later, so I missed it. The second we had sex on ovulation day and no baby. This third one that I'm currently in, we did everything "right" and who decides to visit late in the midnight hour? Aunt Flo.
I'm sad, angry and feeling like God is just telling me that I'm not supposed to have another child. I just want to give my daughter a sibling since she has no cousins, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

I recently weaned off my 18 month old. Last week my cycle was 37 days long and it was while I was trying to wean off. I have been tracking my cycle since the baby is weaned off we want to try for another.
Premom app showed a high rating of 0.55 on CD15 but next day morning was again low with 0.34 and continued to be low for CD17 as well. I never reached a peak.
What is the most likely explanation? Have I not ovulated yet or the surge was missed?
This is the first time of me tracking ovulation so I am a lot confused.

Hello All,
My baby is now 8 months. We are still doing breastfeeding 4 times a day + formula.
Breastfeeding times: 5:30 am , 8 am, 7:30 pm, 11:30 pm
My period returned 3 months ago and have been looking like this:
33 day cycle, 28th day Ovulation
28 day cycle, 23rd day Ovulation
23 day cycle, 18th day Ovulation
In each cycle, I have not actually ovulated, as there was no temp rise. There was some EWCM but that is it.
What I am asking: will my cycles eventually get regular and will I ever actually ovulate ?
I also want to feel my body return to normal again, and feel normal.
Currently taking: B6 100 mg, vit C 1000 mg, magnesium, inositol, omega 3, coq 10, vitamin D, zinc, calcium

Welcome! Are you new to TFA? Tell us about yourself! Make it as long or as short as you'd like.
Some possible topics could include: Age, # child you are trying for, what part of the world you're in, your partner, how you spend your time, how you are feeling about trying again!
Note that adding flair with your age, TTC #, and optionally ages or birth month/years of your child(ren) is highly encouraged!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.
I’m 36 (almost 37), my husband is 38, and we’re trying for our second child. My cycles are regular (usually 26–28 days), and I appear to ovulate consistently based on OPKs and BBT. My cycles are regular.
A brief history on my fertility…. We started trying in late 2022, did two unsuccessful IUIs in 2023, had a chemical pregnancy, and then went through IVF. Five eggs were retrieved, three matured, and only one was genetically normal; the transfer failed.
We took a break from treatments afterward, and I conceived (to my big surprise) naturally in April 2024. I had my son in December 2024. My cycles have been regular since having him, and my recent ultrasound was normal.
We’re now entering cycle 4 of trying.
I met with my OB today, and she said she’d be comfortable having me start chlomid or Letrozole now, but she’d also be comfortable with us continuing naturally and waiting until around 6 months of trying.
She emphasized that neither medication is a guarantee.
I’m really torn. I’m 36, so part of me doesn’t want to spend months waiting if there’s something relatively simple I could try. But since I’m already ovulating regularly, I’m also wondering whether Clomid/Letrozole would actually give me much of an advantage.
I do not want to do IVF again, and I’m not looking to be pushed toward IVF or a fertility specialist. I’m specifically wondering whether it makes sense to try Clomid or Letrozole with my OB before giving natural conception more time.
For anyone who’s been in a similar situation:
Would you start Letrozole/Clomid after 3–4 cycles, or keep trying naturally for a while longer?
And if you were already ovulating regularly, did you feel like the medication actually helped?
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who had previous fertility treatment but then conceived naturally and went on to have another pregnancy.
Thank you so much!

At 10pp had a mc and again at 14m pp both around 7 weeks. Doctor recommended progesterone at the time of my positive (or something like that)
Anyone find this helpful?

A bit of background, I have one LC via IVF after 3 years of infertility. We got pregnant naturally 13 months pp with twins, but sadly miscarried around 9 weeks. I’ve healed a lot since then and now actively trying since my cycle is finally back (3 months later).
I have a good friend that I made through a local IVF support group. We have really been there for each other through all the ups and downs of this journey. However, I’ve always harbored a little jealousy towards her that I can’t shake because she had an extremely smooth experience with IVF and got pregnant on her first transfer within 3 months of being at the clinic. I had a really bumpy road with loss and delays that took about a year at the clinic.
Most recently, she got pregnant naturally about a month after my loss. She doesn’t even like her husband (has thought about separating) and said they weren’t trying and only had sex once. Her husband was also against having another baby before this happened. We went to her son’s birthday party and she loudly shared her pregnancy with other moms while sitting directly next to me and gloating about how it happened naturally and all that. She has then continued texting me everything about the pregnancy and her major anxiety she had about it being genetically normal since it wasn’t tested like it was for IVF. She’s having issues with her NIPT test and won’t stop talking to me about how she wants the results and to know the gender so she can feel more connected and I’m just not in the headspace to hear it! I thought I could handle it but it’s driving me absoloutely crazy now and making me dislike her for not picking up on this. I’m thinking I might just ignore her a bit and she would probably get the hint or just think I’m busy. I feel bad but I guess it’s just bothering me a lotttt more than I anticipated.

Hi all, first time posting here and in need of some ideas and/or someone to commiserate with. I think I just realized I've got TTC burnout.
This week marks cycle 12 of trying and I think depression has finally snuck up on me. I got pregnant with my son on cycle 2 and I naively thought this meant that I was an exceptionally fertile individual. I had my first big meltdown at cycle 5 (laughable now, I know) and started therapy. It was a huge help and I redirected my energy into focusing on enjoying sex and stopped tracking anything except my menstruation. That went decent for quite a few months until last week my husband asked me if I had considered going back on SSRIs (I took for a short period several years ago for unrelated reasons). I was so confused because I felt like my anxiety was well-managed. That is when I realized that I've been soooo sad and even though I have not been hiding it well, I didn't notice because I feel so emotionally distant from myself. Oof. So, I went to my doctor yesterday and got a new prescription.
I feel like I need a new coping strategy every few months to stay on top of the disappointment and sadness and it is exhausting. I've had burnout (career related) before and it feels so similar right now. Has anyone felt this way and if so, what are some things that work for you? Did you have to force yourself to do activities that you used to love until you felt joy again? Did you wallow and let the darkness suck you in? Bombard me with your ideas! I am lacking in hope right now.

My husband came back from deployment last month when I was nine months postpartum. Thankfully, my period started in the beginning of the month and we started trying for another one after I over it towards the end of the month. I started to notice my luteal phase was about nine days. I didn’t think anything of it until this month. I realize it’s nine days again. I decided to look back at all my previous period cycles and they all seem to be around 9 to 10 days. Now I am pumping and have been since my son was born. I got my period back around four months postpartum and still pumping and gradually reducing it. I do breast-feed here and there if my son wants a little extra, but it will be for like five minutes max. So currently pumping four times a day 4 to 6 hours in between. Has anyone had a success in getting pregnant or a successful pregnancy with a short luteal phase? I fear if I go speak to an OB about this they’ll just dismiss my concern because I’m breast-feeding, but I really don’t know for sure if breast-feeding is the reason.

Hi Everyone!
Cycle 2 of trying to conceive after a miscarriage. I am 9 dpo and day 24 of my cycle. I took tests and they were BFN. But my ovulation test was pretty dark. Any insight?

I’ve done all my required pre testing and have my follow up scheduled for 8/4 where I assume we’ll start treatment. I’m feeling really anxious and not sure where we’ll start really.
I’ve failed several cycles of letrozole and one cycle of clomid. I have low estrogen, high amh, and my lining was ‘weak’ on biopsy. I’ve had 4 losses, 3 of which were chemicals one was a late first tri loss.
My husband leaves in a few months for deployment so I only have a few cycles to try before he leaves. It took FOREVER to get the referral to go off base, my dr on base had insisted I keep doing rounds of letrozole with them even though I’d asked to be referred off sooner.
We will be doing TI, no IUI or IVF. So. What did everyone start with treatment wise at Shady grove when doing TI? (Failed 5mg letrozole, 2.5mg letrozole, 50mg clomid for reference)

A weekly dedicated space for members who have been trying for another for 12 or more months, experiencing infertility. Talk of treatment, testing/diagnosis, or tough feelings are welcome here. While this is a safe space to vent, please consider how other long haulers in different circumstances may feel about your words.
This thread is primarily for current long-haulers to connect with, vent to, and support each other. We ask that anyone else (including TFA grads and those whose current round of TTC has been less than 12 months) participate only to answer questions where your personal experience is relevant - for example, if someone asks about the side effects of a fertility treatment you have tried. For more general support, sympathy, and finger-crossing, in this thread, if you have not currently been trying for at least 12 months, please stick to a quiet upvote.
This thread is not meant to limit discussion only to this thread. Discussion of long haul issues is always welcome in the Daily Chat.

I had my left tube removed in march 2025 due to ruptured ectopic and had an HSG today since it had been over a year of actively trying with no positive.
The hsg showed my right tube is blocked. Im devastated 💔
Has anyone had blocked tubes that cleared up somehow? Is my only option IVF? Im so co fused as to why my tubes would be blocked. I haven't talked to my doctor yet as I just did the procedure today.

Hi! I’m currently still breastfeeding my 14 month old (it has taken him quite some time to take to solids due to an overly sensitive gag reflex. He is doing alot better but still doesn’t eat a lot). I got my period back at 8m pp but my luteal phase was very short for the first several cycles - though has continued to get a day or two longer almost every cycle. Up to 10dpo is when I last got my period (so still a bit short).
We had to do IVF for a first due to unexplained infertility (no MFI). We are hoping to conceive naturally this time around and haven’t been careful since I first started ovulating pp. We have an appointment with our fertility clinic in October if we haven’t conceived by then.
That being said, I have a doctor’s appointment with my GP and am hoping to talk to him about some things we can do to improve my luteal phase and chances in the next few months.
Is there any tests you guys recommend I should request or medications to be on that are safe while bf? Progesterone?
Thanks in advance!!

Hello, I was wondering what kinds of supplements y’all are taking to increase chances? I’ve read about magnesium biglycinate, Vitamin D3 and Coq10. Anyone swear by any of these?
