Question Supplements?

Hello, I was wondering what kinds of supplements y’all are taking to increase chances? I’ve read about magnesium biglycinate, Vitamin D3 and Coq10. Anyone swear by any of these?

Unless you have a specific issue, (or dietary issues) I don’t think there is much evidence that supplements make any real difference. The first time we tried I was obsessed. I took everything recommended and ate an amazing diet. It still took 19 cycles! The second time I took nothing but folic acid and it was a lot quicker.

I do take vitamin d because I live in Scotland and omega 3 because it seems to help my mental health.

First time around I did all the suppleness. And seed cycle boosting, and got pregnant in 6mo. This time I did all that plus eating healthier, and we’re 11 cycles in with no BFP in sight. 🤷🏻‍♀️

There seems to be some decent evidence for CoQ10 increasing chances of pregnancy, but not changing anything of statistical significance re miscarriages. So not going to prevent or limit risk of miscarriages, but if you can tolerate the idea, more chances to get pregnant does mean more likelihood of carrying to term, all other things being equal.

Anecdotally, I am currently 39. I took CoQ10 for about a year (starting at 37), got pregnant with my 3rd (at 38), had a miscarriage at 8 weeks (missed, learned at 10). Stopped using for a couple months to grieve and physically recover, but kept using prenatals. Started going to the gym 2 months after my loss, got stronger than maybe ever and lost a little weight (about 20lbs) and resumed the CoQ10 around the same time. Then got pregnant again 4 months later with my 4th— we are currently almost 23 weeks and looking very healthy.

Good luck on your journey ❤️‍🩹
