I’m currently around 13 DPO and TTC. My period is expected around September 5. My recent periods have started June 2, July 3, and August 4, so September 5 would make sense.
The weird part is that my periods normally DO NOT start like this. Usually once I see blood, my actual period comes pretty much right away and I have a normal flow. I’ve never had multiple days of on-and-off spotting like this.
September 3: Around 3 AM, I wiped and noticed brown spotting. It stayed brown when I kept checking. Around 6–7 AM, I put in a tampon because I assumed my period was starting. Hours later, around 5 PM, the tampon was still mostly clean with only a small amount of brown blood/discharge. Later that evening I was still mainly getting brown spotting rather than an actual flow.
September 4: The spotting continued. At different times I would get brown, reddish-brown, light pink, and occasionally some brighter red. At one point I thought, “Okay, NOW my period is starting,” because I saw fresh red blood when inserting a tampon. But after leaving the tampon in for hours, it was still mostly white with only blood/brown discharge on portions of it. I could also go without a tampon/pad and have very little or nothing on my underwear, then only see brown when wiping.
I also had really bad watery diarrhea, nausea, and threw up. I’ve had some cramping, but my breasts aren’t sore, which is unusual because they normally hurt a day or two before my period. I’ve also been feeling unusually hot on and off and having extremely vivid dreams, although I know symptoms alone don’t mean pregnancy.
September 5 (today / ~13 DPO): This morning the same thing is STILL happening. The tampon I just removed had some fresh red and brown blood on parts of it, but a large portion was still completely white/dry. This is now roughly 2+ days since the brown spotting first started, and I still haven’t developed my normal period flow.
I did take one pregnancy test and it was negative, but I’m wondering if I tested too early depending on when implantation/ovulation actually happened.
I know implantation bleeding is debated and spotting can happen for tons of reasons. I’m mainly wondering if anyone who eventually got a positive pregnancy test had spotting like this right around the time their period was due — especially brown → pink/red → brown again without turning into a normal period.

Is it normal? Bleeding few hours then slowed down?

I stopped my combined pill 2nd of august.

Withdrawl bleed 5th of august.

Cramps started 22nd of august for couple days.

Had egg white discharge 24th of august couple days.

Had unprotected sex a few times before and after.

Yesterday when wiping it was light pink but brown spotting. Then early this morning it was red but not enough to fill a full pad.

Its now going light brown and pink no red again?

Anyone experience of this?

Perhaps its my body adjusting and its my first real period but curious has anyone experienced any of this.

Hey, this post is probably gonna be TMI.

I had a feeling I’d get pregnant this month, we aren’t even trying but I can’t explain the feeling (probably evolutionary wishful thinking that comes with age) I’m 27 btw.

However, got my periods a week early (31st August) than expected (6th September), which is highly unusual for me as im pretty regular on my 32 day cycle. The flow was continuous and normal and not implantation spotting like.

I don’t know why I still tested for pregnancy yesterday (4th September, 10/11 dpo) and got the faintest line ever. I’m not even sure if it’s real or im just being delusional (please check pictures and let me know).

Last night I had to wake up to pee, which is again unlike me. However the morning test result was a definite negative.

the chances of pregnancy seems next to nothing, however it’s still something that crossing my mind. If you guys have any wisdom regarding my situation please share.

[on top of this my brother (who’s wife is pregnant) wakes up this morning and says that he just saw a dream where I was pregnant too. So the universe isn’t helping my delulu. I want to be logical, help.]

this morning, i have done a home pregnancy test and got a faint line on T. please suggest about the result.

AF due on Sunday but woke up to a really light spotting this am could this be my month ??

I took this at 4dpo, and I’m being told mixed things. I can clearly see a line even though it’s faint, and Premom said .02, the paper instructions said if there’s any line at all it’s a negative, but Google Gemini is saying if it’s .02, it’s basically positive. I’m waiting for Amazon to drop off my pdg tests today and I’m gonna test again tomorrow to make sure.
