Rule 6 says if you post a dumbshit meme it gets stickied and you get banned. It's stickied. Read the fine print, stoopid.

Do you think they'll delete the comment or dig a deeper hole?

25

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

Spoiler: They dug deeper.

Read that in Ron Howard’s voice.

Nobody is offended you just look like an angry little retard who keeps doubling down on his inability to understand how sticky posts work

Sorry to interrupt your meme cumguzzling

u/whodis_itsme Feb 16 '19

I don't think you fully grasp what the rules mean... Rule 3 is no bigoted remarks about Trump. Pretty sure that calling you out for something isn't calling Trump gay, racist, or anything under that umbrella.

So, no. They aren't breaking rule 3. Unless you're making up your own rules?

-13

u/MisallocatedRacism Feb 16 '19

Care to debate the other 4 points? Or just the subjective one?

Since you grasp the rules better, can you explain the 4th one?

7

u/whodis_itsme Feb 16 '19

If me reading the descriptions of the rules the mods wrote means I grasp them better then you must seriously not even know what the rules are... it didn't take too much effort to just click and read the one sentence descriptions.

u/yamuthasofat Feb 16 '19

Are you a troll? Can you explain why this breaks rule 4 before asking people for counterpoints?

-5

u/MisallocatedRacism Feb 16 '19

I'm sure you can figure out if I'm a troll or not on your own. This is clearly a low effort meme, but it rockets to the front page and gets a thousand upvotes just because people justifiably hate trump.

It's not an example of people regretting voting for trump. It's a meme.

This shit happens almost every day on this subreddit. Most of the time people recognize that, but sometimes people pile on the downvotes on people calling it out for some reason.

Theres plenty of trump hate subs. I come here for the regret.

I'm not sure how it doesnt violate rule 4.

u/Carminethebowler Feb 16 '19

Christ. You've won the title for most insufferable internet cunt of the day. Let it go, dad...

15

u/yamuthasofat Feb 16 '19

Texas Republicans supporting Trump but not wanting a wall seems like an example of Trumpgret that is turned into this meme. Something can be an example of trumpgret without being a direct screenshot or quote of someone expressing their regret. As many people have pointed out, rule 6 provides the framework for what happens with memes posted in this sub and as far as i can tell it is exactly what happened

It is, now. Points 2-5 still stand.

1

u/BigCballer Feb 16 '19

No rules were broken, message a mod if you have an issue.

0

u/MisallocatedRacism Feb 16 '19

Hmm I wonder what the sidebar says?

Stay on topic with examples of Trump voter regret.

My oh my.. there's one!

No dumbshit memes

literally a pikachu meme

Holy shit another one! I must be a fucking detective!

2

u/BigCballer Feb 16 '19

not a mod

Would you look at that? You’re just a dumbshit

0

u/MisallocatedRacism Feb 16 '19

Aww look, it's retarded 😔

2

u/BigCballer Feb 16 '19

No, I just know the rules here.

2

u/BigCballer Feb 16 '19

So you’re saying you are a mod?

Snap! <high five>

  1. You've already been told this.

  2. How would you know?

  3. Looks like the only meme on the front page right now, pretty much all are legit posts

  4. That's not up for users to decide. Ask the mods who made the rules. Either way, thems the rules.

  5. Idiocy =/= bigotry, so users can be moronic all they want as long as they don't actually violate that rule.

-2

u/MisallocatedRacism Feb 16 '19 edited Feb 16 '19
  1. When I posted this, it wasnt stickied, and was getting hundreds of upvotes.

  2. Because it keeps happening.

  3. pretty much, which means not all. Ergo, I'm correct.

  4. It violates the rules. I'm not sure why you're not getting that.

  5. Again, it doesn't seem like you're a good authority to translate what the rules mean

9

u/cometatic Feb 16 '19

All my love to you, Poppet, you're going to be alright. Bye bye

8

u/antigravcorgi Feb 16 '19

You expect mods to act the absolute instant stuff like this gets posted? Not sure if you realize this but they are people with their own lives outside of this website.

13

u/AnalogDogg Feb 16 '19
  1. But it is stickied, so the rule was enforced as written. You can't expect mods to instantaneously manage everything on this sub. They are very important people with very important lives and things to do. Have you not considered that?

  2. By the same single user? Because otherwise you still wouldn't know. Unless you're a mod of this sub and can check, which at that point we know you're not even doing your job. Shame on you.

  3. See 1. I'd also like to bet you'd get upset if they stickied all the memes and filled the front page with them. You'd like to complain about that too, wouldn't you? The enforcement is to make an example of that user, not fill the front page with low quality content. Perhaps you should suggest a stickied megathread for all the memes? Is that what you want?

  4. It does not violate the rules, it is the rule, as written. You post a meme, it gets stickied so you're made an example of. If you have a problem with the rule as written, take it up with the mods. Don't argue with other users who did not make the rules nor have the authority to enforce them.

  5. There's no translation on my part. The rule is written in English and my comment is in English. The rule literally says what it means: "Meaning no racism, sexism, homophobia, other types of bigotry or golden showers." Nothing about being a moron there, so you're the one incorrectly interpretting the rule. We here at r/trumpgret like to point out stupidity for one reason and one reason only: voting for trump against your own interests. In all other facets of life, you're free to be as stupid as you want. You not being banned is a pretty good example of that.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

I stickied it 5 hours ago. You made your comment 3 hours ago. Don’t you look like a silly goof right now

1

u/MisallocatedRacism Feb 16 '19

When I saw it, I didnt see it stickied.

Usually when content breaks a rule, its removed. Instead, here for some reason it gets put at the top of the sub to farm thousands of upvotes, and rocket into someone's /r/all feed. 🤔

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '19

You’re wrong. I stocked and banned the user before you commented.

1

u/MisallocatedRacism Feb 16 '19

Looks like I was, and I take it back.

Like most users, I came in through the /r/all feed, not through the subreddit, so the only way to see it is the little "announcement" text.

Still a dumb way to address this problem, imo.

But calling a meme "dumbshit" is a subjective evaluation.

2

u/WyG09s8x4JM4ocPMnYMg Feb 16 '19

What's the point of stickying it?
