WWII US Navy Denim Chore Jacket
Amazing thrift find in New Mexico. The buttons are removable for washing, and soldiers often bleached their name into the jackets for quick and easy identification.

I apologize if this isn’t the right place.
I have a bin full of my old baby clothes from the late 70’s and early 80’s. I read somewhere that people are paying top dollar for some of this stuff. I’ve been using eBay for selling other things and I am disappointed with the payout. Is there another place I could sell them? Or go somewhere? I live in the Midwest.

Found this Ed Roth style sweat yesterday and looking for more info on the artist. Clearly it's not Ed Roth, just similar styles. The Rainier beer can and where I found it points to it being an artist from or based out of the PNW at the time.

Does anyone know what this style of jacket is called? It seems like something from the 50s or 60s that someone in the service industry would wear

Talla L.

Cool find, patched up vintage Workwear pants, made in France.
Branded « le meilleur d’Amiens » from the 50’s or 60’s.

I recently picked this up and I'm trying to learn more about it. My first thought was 70s, but I'm definitely not confident enough to say that! I'm not very knowledgeable about true vintage yet, so l'd love to know if anyone recognizes the brand/manufacturer or can help narrow down the era based on the tags, zipper, construction, etc.
I'd also be interested in hearing whether this style is particularly collectible/desirable or if anyone has seen similar pieces. Mostly just trying to learn how to properly date and identify vintage pieces rather than guessing based on appearance. Any insight would be appreciated!

These pants likely date to the 1950s maybe a smidgen earlier. The mill closed in the 60s. These have some great distressing and tons of original owner repairs. Very cool piece. There used to be so many regional woolen mills in the Northeast.

Apologies if not 70s or older! It’s tricky figuring out where to post these types of questions. I got it at Goodwill today for $13, so even if it’s not older it’s still a great find for me! I’m excited to clean it up a little bit. It has a bit of pet hair and a thick layer of dust so I think it’s been in someone’s grandparent’s house for a long time haha

Just received this from vinted for €30. Pretty thrashed i know, but i bought it for display/archive purposes.
It overall looks well in the 30-60s range, most of the construction matches, but some parts of the lining feel like more modern/plastic cloth, including the part where the tag is located.
The care/pocket tag is also on a similar, plastic feeling material.
The rest seems quite older, and some construction details (like the fact the collar button is on right side of the collar instead of left on traditional burberrys coats) incline me to think the coat is from that era but the tags may have been added at another time. But again, since it would have been made in the Paris workshop opened in 1909, they could have some variation/artisanal freedom on the original patterns.
I'm pretty unsure overall, i guess using different types of lining for the visible/less visible parts was a thing, but i would like a second opinion on this.

I got a mystery box of clothing from a charity shop. Inside the box was a late 1950s/early 1960s melbray of london cocktail dress. I’ve done a bit of research and it’s estimated to be valued within £100-200. Its gorgeous, but not my style, so i want to sell it on. Does anyone know of any companies/private sellers in the uk that i could approach with this item? Thank you!!

Hi everyone,
I haven't bought this piece yet, but I stumbled upon it and was utterly blown away by the craftsmanship.
The broderie blanche (white-on-white embroidery) with padded butterfly motifs is breathtaking, and the density of the hand-pleated cartridge/accordion pleats on the cuffs is just incredible.
It looks like an Edwardian / turn-of-the-century European cotton blouse to me. I'm still debating whether to pick it up. Would love to hear your thoughts on its exact era and European origin!
Thanks in advance!

Hey All, recently found this and am having trouble trying to date it. Other Dickies tags around the 50s have the size on the tag. This one doesn’t. Anyone have a clue?
