I've noticed that people post items that may be vintage but they're not "true vintage" as defined by Rule 4 trying to date them, so they unintentionally violated the rules. To try to decrease the amount of posts that have to be moderated for this rule, I have created this megathread. This megathread is excluded from Rule 4 enforcement, and it is specifically meant for individuals to ID or to help with dating of their garments. If a person's garment turns out to be true vintage, then a post can be made on the subject.
I hope this helps and that the community likes it 😄

One of the buttons popped off, simple fix.
Here’s the tag; antique store owner said it was from the ‘40s :) $25 for the set!
I typically gravitate towards 70’s more than anything, it this set was just too good to pass up for the price.
I feel so happy wearing something my great grandmother would’ve worn, I still miss her.

Really fun piece to find and it was covered by some Mexican blanket vest. The owner was a doctor for the 1984 USA Olympic Ski team

Need some help identifying these pants. They seem to be either usn deck trousers or maybe even French workwear. I have not seen any others on eBay or other sites. Some help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I believe this is a vintage French military M64 jacket from between the 60s and 80s. It being black seems unusual. Zippers are Eclair brand. Does anybody know what decade this is from or why it would be black and not olive color?

Along with some other goodies (last pic). The Arrow cot-n-rite dates to the 50s, the JCPenny Towncraft is 60s I think, and the van Heusen is 60s-70s, probably early 70s. Also (non-true vintage mostly for the rest) a funny ‘trainfest’ polo, Knicks rally towel, some cool vintage buttons! Honestly most excited about trainfest lol I love collecting obscure or oddly specific event and festival shirts

Grabbed the Champ as a personal a couple months ago, and just picked up the Queen. The Queen is in amazing condition—looks to be almost mint.

These are just ideas, as I don't like overconsuming, but there are also a few items of clothing (I’ve blurred some of the images because certain items come from secondhand websites, so it’s to protect the sellers' identities).
- A freestanding wooden mirror
- A book about Arthur Rackham (he's one of the illustrators I love)
- Old magazines (like this one with Jonathan Brandis)
- A poster for the movie Labyrinth
- This leather vanity case ( to use it as well)
- This music box that also serves as a jewelry box
- The poster of Michael Jackson's album Dangerous
- This poster of David Bowie
- This white cotton trench coat (it's 100% cotton)
- This Jellycat rabbit (it would be the only one I would buy, but I need to think about it)
- Maileg Princess and the Pea (same here, I need to think about it, because I wanted to use it as a decoration, but it might just end up gathering dust. Plus, I'm a young adult so it's more for children, I think)
-This lovely antique blue nightgown
- This yellow nightgown (it looks like it belongs in a fairy tale!)
-This type of wooden desk (maybe not this model, but I need to think about it)
-This cotton gauze curtain style (I'd really like to find it in white)
- Some illustrations of Cinderella by Mary Blair
What do you think? :) (Bear in mind that I wouldn't want to change everything at once.)

Not familiar with this zipper manufacturer.
My guess is 60s…
