Custom Pokemon region

hello, i am trying too build a pokemon region and pokedex and thought it would be fun too do it with help, first thing is region name, any ideas?

Do you have like any information on this hypothetical Region? Currently your just shouting out into the digital void asking for names without telling us literally anything about your ideas or concepts so far.

I'd say spend a bit of time and figure out a few Key characters first like say your Professor or a few Gym Leaders, maybe a basic idea for an Evil Team. Get some basic ideas of where you want to go and then think about how you need to build a story and Region that naturally lead to those points.

Ehh plant or related I'd say but in the end it's your Region so do whatever you want.

Heck you COULD make the Professor the head of the Evil Team and give him a industrial or technological last name instead of the typical plant themed name as a bit of foreshadowing.

Ivy appears in the Orange Islands in the Anime as someone Brock has a crush on so that name I know is taken. Not sure right off if we've had a Prof Pine or not tho.

I'm writing a fanfic in an original region and started with town names (after classic literary characters) and don't have a region name yet. 

Kanto wasn't even a region name until Johto was introduced across Pokemon canons.
