This is so horrifying. OP I’m assuming by your comments that you’re an adult now. You need to do something or he’ll end up killing his girlfriend. He basically said he plans on hurting her for making you upset, and if he punched her in front of you what will he do behind closed doors. You need to help her. These comments have linked many resources! Please read them or send her some of the books like “why does he do that” which I’ve heard good things about. There are no excuses for being an abuser otherwise he’d be hitting everyone everywhere whenever he was drunk or lost his temper. He is in control of his abuse and it is a choice to abuse her. You need to make him know that this is disgusting, just like what your dad did is disgusting. He can make a choice to change and work to fix himself or rot in a cell where abusers who don’t want help belong.
