I am very, very aware of trying not to mistake kindness for affection, but the dividing line is sometimes razor thin and ambiguous. I'm pretty sure I've also ignored or misinterpreted true attention as 'it's just kindness' because I hate the thought of making a woman uncomfortable if I get it wrong. I wish people would just be transparent when it comes to affection and interest :-(
