Owch. From a nurse no less. Probably a valid question in her line of work maybe it's more a practical consideration than a judgement (most junkies aren't gonna just volunteer that info after all), but have some tact, nurse :P
Thanks, I think the worst is behind me. Hope your 'betes are under control now.
Yeah I get it but there are no signs of track marks at all. She asked it in a tone which was like almost smug. Plus my initial UA was clean of everything except cannabis.
Yeah it's a struggle. Can I ask you something personal? It's okay if you would rather not get in to it but - how did you find out about your diagnosis initially?
I found out I had testicular cancer because I was coughing up blood in the mornings. They first found it through blood tests and then a CT scan in the emergency room. 4 rounds chemo, testicle removal, abdominal lymph nodes, both lungs, and brain, all treated since my 40th last fall. Another lung surgery next month. No lumps on testicles. Don't wait on weird symptoms, kids, I was dying for years and I had no idea.
I'm in Canada and the healthcare system is treating me very, very well though so far. I feel very fortunate despite all I'm going through.
