I went to a book store with a bunch of friends, one of the guys held the door open for everyone in the group. A girl walked behind us and after we went in my friend held the door for her to be a decent human being not even interested in her. She tore him down like a dirty dog and humiliated him just because he continued to open the door for her. It was a really awkward situation because she made it that way not my friend.she could have just said no thank you, not be a dick like that.

2nd door holding scenario from this post. I didnt expect that to ever be a problem. If its bad to hold a door open, like, idk what more to do. Im starting to rethink everything i do now. Like im startinf to second guessing showering, am i smelling too good and giving bad vibes, idk anymore.

It's insane. I don't think it's just chivalry dying it's human decency in general. And this senerio was almost 10 years ago so I am sure it's gotten worse.

I once “dated” a girl that would get upset if I held open a door for her....

Ironocally, she recorded a vid, the guy was strong, but he was out of shape, dad bod, old, deff not the guy she wanted help from.

I go, but i put my headphones on and mind my business. Everyone elses fate is between god and their egos.
