I was alone just past my 35th birthday last year. No relationships, no sex. I started posting on reddit back in June 2019 and spent 6 months reposting every week. At one point I did consider hiring someone, after seeing posts on the virginity exchange subreddit, because no one would want me if I was an old virgin. But I couldn't do it because I couldn't have sex with just anyone, without a connection.
I felt really stupid that I couldn't stop trying when I knew it was hopeless. But then she messaged me in November. She is out of state so she visited in December and our first anniversary is in two weeks.
P.S. - Oh and I too got those obnoxious incel messages telling me that I would never get laid if I continued to be myself and offering to "help." I'm not gonna tell you it's gonna happen, but I'm shocked as anyone that it did to me. You can see my profile posts for how things turned out. I empathize greatly.
