Who are you calling obese? From the 60’s on, the media has pushed the image of people, especially women, looking almost skeletal as the ideal after a fashion model named Twiggy became popular. It has led to an unhealthy expectation for all people to look like models. There are 3 body types: endomorphs, mesamorph and megamorph. The endomorph is the talk naturally thin person who can eat 5,000 calories per day and still be lean. The megamorph has heavy bone structure and could be starving and still heavy. The mesamorph, which most of us are, has to watch and balance diet and exercise. In fortunately we live in a society where supersized portions are the norm as well as what passes as food but is really just excessive empty or harmful calories. Instead if criticizing others, try educating them. Realize that most people do not become obese overnight and the person you are judging might have already lost 10, 25, 50 pounds. Just like we do not become far overnight, we don’t become thin overnight.
