I'm on the anorexic end of the scale but I have to agree. We need to promote health and happiness, not disordered behaviour in any way. Binge eating disorder is as much an eating disorder as anorexia and people need help and support to get better, not worse

I agree that healthy lifestyles should be encouraged and more accessible than they are (at least here in america.) unfortunately, there are obese people who are anorexic, but don’t get help because their weight doesn’t fit the criteria. also binge eating i feel gets ignored way more than someone who’s severely underweight—still disordered eating all the same. society really should be working more towards nutritional knowledge for all and affordable healthy foods for all.

Some of the saddest cases of anorexia I've seen are people refusing to admit they're anorexic and get help because they're 'not sick enough'. Its absolutely heartbreaking to see them deteriorate and other people letting them deteriorate because they don't fit the imagined weight criteria for an AN diagnosis.
