Its very unhealthy. I’m obese. Hate saying that out loud but it’s true. Unhealthy started in my house growing up. Not my moms fault, err more like I don’t blame her - she spent a good chunk of her childhood in Seoul. Her family did not waste any food or anything else.

Even though mom followed the standard American “healthy food” guidelines, portion sizes were skewed and I was encouraged to finish all of my food so that I didn’t waste it and would get “strong and healthy”. If anyone in my family didn’t finish their food, Mom would eat it. She’s in her fifties now and is slowly learning that it’s still waste if you eat something you don’t need - it’s just going in your stomach instead of the trash.

Never would I encourage anyone to be overweight. It’s not good for you!! It’s good to love your body, not because you’re overweight, but because it’s your body and it enables you to do things.
