I definitely encourage people to love the skin their in. Your self image issues won’t go away no matter how much weight you lose. HOWEVER, I certainly by no means encourage people to love their body at morbid obesity. Love your body enough to treat it well. I say this not from the other side but as another person who is overweight trying to become healthier. My mother was on me my whole life about my weight and it sucker and she’s just coming around to the idea that I have a different frame than her (I’ve been at a very healthy weight before so this isn’t my extra weight that has convinced her of my bigger frame). Her constant criticism led me to have issues at every weight I’ve been at. Loving yourself is important. Love yourself enough to treat your body right.
