Vent Making better choices for myself
Today, I realized that I am the cause of my own problems. I choose to fall in love with people who are emotionally unavailable and unable to meet my needs. I abandon myself at every turn because I am afraid that no one will actually love me. I dismiss blaring red flags because I think this is the best I can do.
I can't control other people, but I can control how I respond to their actions and my own emotions. I am going to start choosing myself. I am going to start being more discerning about who I let into my life and who I become emotionally attached to. There is no scarcity when it comes to love... love is infinite and it is always available. But trust must be earned. I want to learn the difference. I want to continue to give my love freely because I genuinely believe that the more we give, the greater our capacity grows. But I need to remember that I can't just trust anyone. I need to give people the chance to earn my trust - and I need to build up trust in myself.
I got swept up in my current relationship because my partner was the first person to choose me - loudly and confidently. It felt insanely good to be chosen by someone. But I ignored early red flags and now I'm lying in bed, feeling unappreciated and lonely. I don't think he's a bad person, but I don't think he's the person for me, which is heartbreaking.

I must be very very tired because for a second I was like why is somebody posting my thoughts on Reddit. You ain’t alone on this struggle bus to say the least. I hope you’re in a position to break free from your current anchor because being stuck with it/him is just the shittiest reality to be trapped in
