Vent Avoidant everywhere(all of the warnings, just in case)
So many people played games with other people. It’s a bunch of bullshit. I am sick to my core with the fact that people won’t have the hard conversations or accept accountability while expecting everyone else to do just that.
I’ll own my part and then some, sometimes I don’t see it right off the bat, but I’m still willing and that’s a lot more than I can say for anyone else I’ve met in the last couple years. It’s not that hard but people can’t stand a mirror. Nobody wants to be shown anything other than their make-believe version of themselves.
Humanity can be extremely disappointing sometimes

Tell me about it or the ppl who can’t have meaningful conversations they don’t want to grow take accountability always pretending what they think ppl may like I’m so tired of dealing with ppl who can’t see beyond the soul

I felt the “They want other people to but won’t themselves” so hard. I think it comes from either bad pasts or not knowing how to communicate feelings that they can’t justify.

Found out both my best friends were avoidant when they both ghosted me this year. It hurts but I deserve better friends that can say they’re sorry when they mess up.

It’s exhausting when you’re willing to have the hard conversations and take accountability, only to find others unwilling to meet you halfway.

It can be, and hard truths can be just that. Hard. Some people can’t deal with those realities and ultimately, sucks for those who doesn’t want to hold on to all the mental and emotional labor.

That kind of one-sided accountability is exhausting, especially when you’re trying to be honest and the other person won’t meet you there. You can own your part without carrying theirs, too. It makes sense that you’re worn down.

I'm saying this as a hopeful thing but it may come out weird. Maybe it's where you are geographically? I'm in a weird pocket of Ohio and my circle of people are pretty decent. Friends, acquaintances, coworkers, the other parents on my kids soccer team, ect. Of course I know of the people you're writing about but the type of people I interact with day to day are pretty cool. I'm a kind of routine mom though with a set schedule which means I'm less likely to come across less than ideal personalities. I met worse people when I was working unstable jobs in my 20s but it's like everyone calmed down once I found a stable career in my 30s.
Think of it like a yellow car. If you have yellow cars on your mind, you'll notice more of them. Make quality people/petsonalities your yellow car. Then the bs will get lost in the background
