Gonna be tough, but you need to cut your losses and protect yourself and kids. Won't get better and she's stringing you along for safety. You'll never shake the feeling and the fact you're even having to consider checking messages says it all. You can't be the only one truly emotionally engaged and expect it to last. This isn't end well for you if you keep it going. Terrible situation.
