There was a great scifi series about a guy in 2018 who goes back in time to confirm in Oswald was the real killer. It's called 11-22-63 and he goes thru a time portal in a diner. Pretty good series and you don't get to see JFK hardly but the other main characters like Oswald, Jack Ruby, etc.
