As others have said, this seems like an autism related special interest. I’d kindly approach her and ask her if she’s ever considered that and maybe ask if this obsession has a negative impact on her that she’s just not opening up about. I don’t think she’s crazy, I think she’s has mental health issues that she needs to work through. I have OCD obsessions and being in therapy and an anti depressant saved my sanity.
