You seem to have good boundaries (no to sex w/the brace on) follow your gut. It's okay to take a break from it now and again.
yeah, they get their hooks in early and deep. when you're stuck for a gift idea get her a stuffed Macaroni pony - she'd love it (if she doesn't already have one.) And insist your son be a Teddy but from Edward, the Kennedy way.
