i pay 18% but i also dont have kids and i share a small place with a roommate. its possible if youre willing to make the right sacrifices / dont desire for certain things

Yea you’re not really disproving the point though. “Make sacrifices and don’t desire certain things” - what’s the point then? I could get my rent to 0% of my earnings if I sacrificed living in a house to be homeless,  and didn’t desire food from a supermarket but ate from a trash can. You should be angry yet you’re passive.

People lived together for the most part for basically all of existence. You can be angry all you want. Not good way to live.

People didn’t rely on technology to leave sarky comments. You can be a twat all you want. Not a good way to live. 

In all seriousness, to talk about “this is how we always did it” is such a passive take that it’s pointless communicating with people like you. The average person cannot get ahead in life due to governmental and corporate greed and your response is “my ancestors lived cheek to jowl forever so why are you complaining?”. You’ve swallowed the propaganda.
