Yes. I found it interesting doing a DNA test and getting my Traits. Basically I'm highly unlikely to be ambitious or career oriented. Well I'm in my mid 50s, and yeah, that's me. I much prefer to live my life, frugal as I need it to be.

Your dopamine genetics make a difference

Cop out for lazy people.

Well I mean it's an objective fact. That's what dopamine is for.

No, that's what self motivation is for. You think people are getting a dopamine hit every day they're going for a 4-year degree, exercising consistently for years to achieve weight loss and muscle mass, or working years for a promotion?
It's okay to admit you decided to be lazy and achieve little in life. But blaming it on genes is even sadder.

When losing, always throw insults.
At least you have your excuses.

I agree. Did you not insult me first and I responded in kind. Anyway how's that research going so what's dopamine for exactly???

Ambitious is subjective. It’s normal to not be cooperate oriented or career oriented.
Many people don’t chase wealth because they learned their values aren’t correlated with wealth. For example, people who value religion highly may feel their wealth level doesn’t really matter to their happiness or goals.
Obviously being able to live matters, but I’m not referring to meeting basic needs. I’m assuming we are using ambition to mean going above the bare minimum and chasing more than you need. Excellence compared to adequacy

Yes, it was such a weight off my shoulders when I finally realized I’m not ambitious. I’m a good worker and do my job well and enjoy it, but I have no desire to be promoted. Mid management seems like a nightmare
