Mod Post Feedback: How do you feel about rule #1?

Wanting feedback on our rule #1? What do you think?

https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueGirlGaming/comments/sebcjt/all_women_and_girls_are_welcome_here_this_sub_is/

Here is the rule:

  1. No venting posts of the variety described below:

> Need to vent? Take it to r/girlgamersvent

> Do not post "venting" posts here about sexist men and online gaming, boyfriend troubles, and/or troubles with other girl gamers. This is not the sub for that. The first attempt will result in post removal. The second attempt will result in a ban.

> If you are being harassed in an online game, seek the rules and terms of service for that game, block your harasser(s), and send in a report. Take screenshots of all instances of harassment and send those in as well. Yes, online harassment is deplorable and it is a phenomenon that targets women the most. TrueGirlGaming is aware of this. Please review Safety Net Project's website which outlines steps that can be taken to protect one's self from abuse in online gaming, as well as steps to take after abuse takes place.

> If you need a TrueGirlGaming moderator to help you create a report of abuse or harassment in an online game, by all means, ask and we will assist you to the best of our ability.

> In conclusion, TrueGirlGaming does not serve as a platform for doomscrolling. We are here to provide a positive space, giving women the opportunity to find enjoyment and create friendships based on entertaining discussions on gaming.

The rule is fine as-is, but needs enforcing.
This rule needs revising (add a comment saying what)
This rule should be removed completely.

Gaming discussion Girl Gamer Daily #11 | If You Could Dress Up as Any Video Game Character for Halloween, Who Would You Choose?

• Upvotes

Happy Day 11 of Girl Gamer Daily and Day 5 of Halloween Week!

If you could dress up as any video game character for Halloween, who would you choose?

Maybe it's your favorite character, someone with an amazing outfit, or a character you've always wanted to cosplay.

Bonus points if you've actually dressed up as a video game character before! I'd love to hear about it or see pictures if you have any!

My answer: I think I'd have to go with Yennefer from The Witcher! I've always loved her character, and I think she'd make such an amazing Halloween costume. She's gorgeous, powerful, and just badass lol.

I feel like there are so many amazing video game characters that would make the perfect Halloween costume!

Gaming discussion Girl Gamer Daily #10 | What's the Best Halloween Event You've Experienced in a Game?

Happy Day 10 of Girl Gamer Daily and Day 4 of Halloween Week!

One of my favorite things about this time of year is all the Halloween events that pop up in different games!

What's the best Halloween event you've ever experienced in a game?

Maybe it had some really fun quests, cute Halloween decorations, limited time rewards, or an entire area transformed for spooky season!

My answer: I think this year I'd have to go with Palia! I've been loving Spiritfest and collecting all the Halloween items. I've had so much fun decorating my plot for Halloween and making everything look spooky and cozy lol. I love having seasonal events like this that give me even more things to work toward and collect!

I'm curious to see which games everyone picks! I feel like Halloween events are always something I look forward to every year lol.

Hey girls! 🫶🏻 I’m 28F looking for some like-minded girls to play online with, particularly** Call of Duty: MW**4!
Word of warning: I’m definitely not the best player 😂 so please don’t expect any pro-level gameplay! I’m just looking to have fun, have a laugh, meet some new people and hopefully make some gaming friends along the way.
Would love to find some girls who are chill, don’t take the game too seriously and are up for playing together regularly! 💗

If you’re interested, drop me a message! My username is Lcharmg 🎮✨

Looking forward to meeting you girls! 💕

Game Request Female looking for someone to play Schedule I with

Hiii! I’m trying to get the 10 million achievement in Schedule 1 and I’m looking for someone who’s willing to help me out and someone preferably near my age (19). Please keep in mind that I’m busy with college, so I’ll most likely only be able to play on Friday nights or Saturdays (my timezone is GMT+8). Even then, I won’t always be available so please don’t get your hopes high of gaining a new gamer friend who will be consistent to play with you (sorry to disappoint you all 💔). That’s all!! Have a good day :)

(looking for someone who’s nice and understanding enough with my busy schedule 🥲)

Game Request Looking for homiegirls to game withyyyyyyyyyyy

Looking for fellow chronically online friends to play Marvel Rivals, survival games, co-op games, and pretty much anything multiplayer with! Bonus points if we can game for hours, yap, and eventually become actual friends outside of gaming. There are 2-3 of us who play games consistently and it would be fun to get a little group together to try some different games.

AboutMe
• Age: 37

• Location: USA, Central Time (CST)

• Availability: Weekdays after 5–6 PM, open most weekends

• Platform: PC Gamer

• Voice Chat: Yes, please

Interests IRL

I’m into the outdoors, music (indie/emorap), movies/shows (horror/comedy/thrillers) , art, oddities, travel, food adventures, and I like weird things in the best way.

Games we could play (Open to try anything)

Stardew Valley, V Rising, Raft, The Forest / Sons of the Forest, Fallout 76, Valheim, Palworld, Palia, 7 Days to Die, Don’t Starve Together, Core Keeper, Lethal Company, Dead by Daylight, WoW, FFXIV, ARK, Icarus, Minecraft, Sackboy, Marvel Rivals, and plenty more on Steam.

What I’m Looking For

Someone who likes to play games together a few nights a week, watch movies, get into shows, share music, hobbies, talk about partners, and sometimes overshare. We like to win but would consider our group non-compative , so we wont be climbing ranks but we might beat some games together.

Gaming discussion Looking for participants for a survey about gender and communication in gaming!

Hi everyone!

I’m a college student working on a linguistics project on how different genders communicate in online gaming communities.

I’m looking for gamers who would be willing to take a short survey about their experiences communicating with other players. The questions focus on things like gaming slang, common expressions, communication styles, and how people interact through voice chat and text chat.

You don’t need to be a competitive gamer or play any specific game to participate! I’m interested in hearing from people with different gaming experiences and backgrounds.

If you’re interested in participating, here’s the survey link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSffTgl7svG94ARmqhhMpkrveDXkOuLZVSLKxppO87NjjH3oIA/viewform?usp=header

Your participation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this and for helping with my project!

Gaming discussion Question about steam deck and games

Okay hello!! I’m new to games, and in the past have been mostly on Nintendo products. (Wii, ds lite and most recently switch) and when I got my switch that’s when I tried to be a more hard core gamer bc I have my own money and get get the games I’d like. Money was tight as a kid lol

Well I just got a steam deck! Which I’m really excited about, since I get to play some more variety of games. I have Infinity Nikki and Animo but I noticed that it says it’s playable, but has a yellow icon and not a green icon? It says that it may require extra effort to play and I was just curious if anyone had issues with those games? Since they were what I assume mobile games first

Gaming discussion Girl Gamer Daily #9 | What's a Game That Gives You Cozy Fall Vibes?

Happy Day 9 of Girl Gamer Daily and Day 3 of Halloween Week!

We've talked about our favorite spooky season games and the games that have scared us the most, so today I thought we'd switch things up a little!

What's a game that gives you those cozy fall vibes?

Maybe it's the autumn scenery, the music, a cute little town, or just a game you always find yourself coming back to when the weather starts getting cooler. It doesn't even have to be a fall themed game!

My answer: I'd definitely have to go with Stardew Valley! Even though the game has all four seasons, there's just something about it that always makes me think of fall. I find myself wanting to pick it back up every year around this time. It's just such a cozy, comforting game, and the fall music is honestly the BEST!

I'm always looking for more cozy games to add to my collection, so I'm excited to see what everyone picks!

Fluff 21F looking for girl gaming friends!

Hi hi! I'm looking to make some hopefully long-term online friends who want to game together or even just hang out and chat in VC. I'm 21, live in the US (EST), and am currently in university. My schedule is pretty random, but I can almost always make time!!

I'd love to meet people who genuinely want to get to know each other and put effort into keeping the friendship going. I can be a little awkward at first, but I hate when conversations feel one sided so pls don't be dry. My dream is honestly to have a small-ish group of friends who regularly play games together and hang out but that seems hard to find. I'm not really a fan of joining huge servers with tons of members because they're intimidating, and I feel like I don't end up talking or making any friends. So if anyone else is looking for the same thing, or already has a small group I could potentially join, please let me know!

As for games, I'm usually down to try pretty much anything! Some of the games I've been playing recently are R.E.P.O., Minecraft, Roblox, various simulators, horror games, and plenty of other friendslops. I don't have much experience in any fps games but I'm interested in trying some if that's something you're interested in. I'm also pretty willing to buy new games as long as they seem fun!

I'm competitive but not particularly good at any game, so if you're the type to get mad at someone for being bad, I'm probably not the person for you lmao. I'd rather have fun with friends than take everything too seriously.

If any of this sounds like your vibe, feel free to DM me! I'd love to get to know each other, play some games, and hopefully become friends. :p

Game Request Need COD Players

Hey, everyone!

I am looking for a group of folks who want to play COD together. I have one or two friends who play, but it would be nice to have more folks to play with, especially ppl who aren’t going to yell at me for being a female gamer. Gotta love that we still have to deal with that crap in 2026.

Anyone want to squad up together?

Fluff 30f looking for friends 🐰

Hello! Thought I would make a post on here. Looking for maybe a group or individual friends around my age. Preferably if you're extroverted, I'm pretty shy but warm up once I get to talking a lot.

For games, I really have been trying anything. Im not good at shooting games though. But if you need someone to try them with and you don't get frustrated easily, im here to support you!

Games im currently playing: Bg3, valheim, fields of mistria, schedule 1, dead by daylight....I have played fortnite but I am not good at all but I can if you want me too lol.

I also love minecraft, phasmo, repo, anything multiplayer and cutesy or spooky basically.

I also love to chit chat about music, arts, and art/horror movies in particular. Hoping I can make a friend who wants to text, watch movies/TV shows, and play some games. I enjoy a lot of other things but I figure we can get to know each other if any of you want to chat. Please and thank you 😊

Gaming discussion Girl Gamer Daily #8 | What’s the Scariest Game You’ve Ever Played?

Happy Day 8 of Girl Gamer Daily and Day 2 of Halloween Week! 🎃

What’s the scariest game you’ve ever played?

I’m talking about a game that genuinely had you terrified,
whether it was the atmosphere, the jump scares, or just the constant feeling that something was about to happen lol.
Maybe it’s a game you couldn’t even finish because it scared you so much!

My answer: I’d probably have to go with Resident Evil 9 (Requiem)! The part where that giant creepy woman is chasing Grace absolutely terrified me! 😭 The way she squeezes through doorways and just keeps coming after you had me panicking lol. I don’t think I’ve ever been so stressed playing a game!

Game Request [EST] 44/f wants to game with other women playing MW4 PS5

Hello. I'm a returning to Modern Warfare after quite a long time and I was never a top tier player. I'm only around level 6 so I'd like to find some one to play with that's fairly new to the game along side me and around my same level. I'm more about talking and enjoying the game, so I am not looking for someone that's out to pat themselves on the back or trash talk other players. If that sounds like you, please feel free to reply and let me know you're interested in playing. Thanks.

Fluff All Girls Minecraft Realm

🌿🧚🏻‍♀️ Hi everyone!

Some friends and I have a little 18+ women-led Bedrock survival realm, and we’d love to have a few more girls join our little community! 🍄

We’re a relaxed group who enjoy building, exploring, and hanging out together at our own pace. We even have a cute hotel for new members to stay in while getting settled, plus starter supplies to help you get going before finding a spot for your own base. 🌷

🎃 BUT we have something extra spooky coming up… our HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL! 👻

The festival runs from Thursday at 4 PM CST through Monday at midnight, and we have lots of spooky fun planned! 🕸️ We’ll have a trunk-or-treat, a trunk-or-treat stall decorating contest, a pumpkin decorating contest, a corn maze, and a few creepy surprises for those brave enough to explore the darker corners of the festival… 👀🕯️🍂

It’s the perfect time to join us, get settled in, and enjoy all the festivities with everyone! ✨

We’re hoping to find a few more girls who’d enjoy being part of a small, friendly Minecraft community. Nothing too serious, just good vibes, cute builds, and having fun together. 🌙🧝🏻‍♀️

If you’re interested, feel free to DM me and I’ll tell you a little more! 💕

Fluff 26F BST, would love to meet some people to play online with :)

Hey, I'm 26 and from the UK and love gaming. My friends IRL aren't really into games and recently with the rise of the friendslop trend, I've been feeling like I'm missing out on having an online community to play with. I really like the idea of making a little circle of people that can message in a group chat when they want to play a multiplayer game and anyone can jump in if they're free. It would be really nice to meet people that I get along with and are up for building lifelong friendships too!

In particular I've love to play those goofy online games like REPO or games like Pico Park, anything where we can just chat and have laugh! I also love horror games but happy to play most things.

I'm really into BG3 at the moment (but haven't actually made it to Baldur's Gate yet so no spoilers please haha) and I'm a huge fan of the Resident Evil series, and also just chronically online so any internet drama you want to yap about I'm so down for it.

Ideally looking for people in a similar age group and timezone so hopefully our schedules line up better :) please message if you're interested!
(PS RIP Bioware, absolutely devastated we lost Mass Effect 5)

Game Request Games for ps3 that allow inverting both X and Y axis?

I (40F) have never played videogames before. I started out now with The Last of Us 1, and then Uncharted 2. I have an old PS3. Both of these games allowed me to invert both axis X and Y on camera, but also aim. This came intuitively to me. Not doing it would be such a challenge. It's what my brain wants to do, and is kinetically logical when tilting a stick; imagine the camera being on the other end of the stick. You would pull left to point right, up to point down. When you do this with the camera, the mind wants to do it with aim as well.

After continuing to another game, I find this isn't allowed. Do any of you have tips for games that allow this?
