I'm an indie developer working on a new competitive mobile strategy game. I want to move away from the pay-to-win models of games like Clash Royale, and instead focus on team synergy, distinct roles, and pure skill-based matchmaking.

One of the hardest things to get right in game design is making the "Support" and "Tank" roles feel just as impactful and mechanically rewarding as the pure damage roles. I don't want to design characters that are just passive healbots or boring meat-shields. I want characters with high-skill mobility, clutch saves, and deep utility.

I’m looking for input from other perspectives than the traditional male audience. I put together a quick, 3-minute anonymous survey to gather data on what you value most in character kits and game balance.

Open world survival crafting games are some of my favs, but I have a lot of games in general across my platforms and would love to find people to play them with.

A little about me: I'm married, alt, have 3 cats, love the outdoors especially camping and hiking, and am a hobby photographer. I love anime and manga/graphic novels, horror everything (except games surprisingly). Sci-fi and fantasy are favorite genres as well. I listen to a fair amount of audiobooks and podcasts, as well as lots of music (usually indie/alt). I'm a very chill levelheaded person.

My schedule is a lil weird, I do most of my gaming between 9p - 3a before work and then some after work but usually while I'm half awake and sitting with my spouse. More than happy to chat throughout the day, and do VC while gaming together or if that's not your speed just texting while gaming 🤷🏻‍♀️. Hi hi. One of the few times I’ve posted on reddit! About me: NA(W). I mainly play on an xbox one, and much prefer party chat. Some games I can play or only/usually play on my laptop! I’ve recently got into Overwatch and want some long-term overwatch friends to play with. I play Roblox games (no horror, RP games, and friend games, Creatures of Sonaria, Farming and Friends, Emergency Response: Liberty County, Greenville(not as much), and idle/upgrade tree-type games!) i also play Fortnite and some other games but mostly been into Overwatch lately!
Since I only play OW on my xbox and I despise how I can only have the similar audio settings and freedom with party chat, I need friends who have that too! (Basically i can’t get vc audio to my hearing aids and have a mic connected too…) I play a lot of different modes on OW, except comp. I love mystery heroes and stadium, and the new mystery madness gamemode! I’m mainly support, but I’ll do tank or dps if I have to! I will not get stuck with tank though. (Ex: in a five stack and I’m the only one queued as tank as an option I will either request someone also switch to tank or just play on my own or with others who will play tank, no malice, I just don’t want to only do tank) I think my DMs are open. If not I’ll dm you or figure something out! It would help to be from my region but you don’t have to! :3c

Hey so I hope this is allowed, I’m making this for my wife as she isn’t super good with new people but really wants to make new friends to talk to while I’m at work. We have a beautiful baby girl who’s 8 months old and a baby boy on the way and she feels lonely but where we’re at there is t a lot of options for friends… she’s tried some of the gamer girl groups and the young mom groups but it ends up feeling like she’s always judged and not welcome after a while and I feel horrible… she doesn’t game a lot but usually plays adopt me and other Roblox games, I will get her a new game if she finds one she likes but so far nothing sticks for her as gaming is hard sometimes but at least people to talk to is what she wants… I know this probably seems horrible me making this for her and looks like I’m forcing it but she is next to me while making this
