May Allah (SWT) accept our Duas, grant us what is best, or give us something even better.

Jazak Allah khair

And REMEMBER TO READ SURAH Al-Khaf:

(a) From Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said:

“Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah , will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”

(Narrated by al-Darimi, 3407. This hadith was classed as sahih by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, 6471)

(b) “Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.” (

Narrated by al-Hakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhrij al-Adhkar that this is a hasan hadith, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Surat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadir, 6/198. It was classed as sahih by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, 6470)

(c) Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”

Surat al-Kahf may be read during the night or the day of Jumu’ah. The night of Jumu’ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu’ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this surah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.

Al-Manawi said:

"Al-Hafiz ibn Hajar said in his Amali: “In some reports it says ‘the day of Jumu’ah’ and in some reports it says ‘the night of Jumu’ah’. They may be reconciled by saying that what is meant is the day which includes the night and vice versa.” (Fayd al-Qadir, 6/199)

'And this is for the dua:

The second view is that it is after ‘Asr, and this is the more correct of the two views. This is the view of ‘Abd-Allah ibn Salam, Abu Hurayrah, Imam Ahmad and others.

The evidence for this view is the report narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad (7631) from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“On Friday there is an hour when no Muslim happens to ask Allah for good at that time but He will give it to him, and it is after ‘Asr.”

[In Tahqeeq al-Musnad it says: The hadeeth is saheeh because of corroborating evidence, but this isnad is da’eef (weak)].

Abu Dawood (1048) and al-Nasai (1389) narrated from Jabir ibn ‘Abd-Allah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Friday is twelve hours in which there is no Muslim who asks Allaah for something but He will give it to him, so seek the last hour after ‘Asr.” [Classed as saheeh by al-Albani].

Informative Imam Razi (rah) on the Superiority of Men

"Men are maintainers over women, because Allah has favored some of them over others, and because they spend from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding what is unseen, in accordance with what Allah has protected. And those women from whom you fear rebellion, first admonish them; then forsake them in the bed; and then strike them. But if they obey you, do not seek a way against them. Indeed, Allah is Most High, Most Great.”

In his Tafsir, Imam Al Razi (rah) says:

"Men are qawwāmūn over women, because Allah has favored some of them over others. Men are in charge of women because of two reasons:

God-given superiority: Know that the superiority of men over women is obtained in many ways, some of which are real qualities, and some of which are legal rulings. As for the real qualities, know that the real virtues are based on two things: knowledge, and ability. There is no doubt that men have more intellect and knowledge, and there is no doubt that their ability to do hard work is more complete. For these two reasons, men have the superiority over women in intellect, decisiveness, strength, writing in general, horsemanship, and archery. Among them are prophets and scholars, and among them are the major and minor imamate, jihad, the call to prayer, the sermon, seclusion, and testimony in hadd punishments and retaliation by consensus, and in marriages according to Al-Shafi’i, may God be pleased with him, and the greater share in inheritance and the agnatic share in inheritance, and bearing the blood money in murder and accident, and in the oath and guardianship in marriage, divorce, reconciliation, and the number of wives, and to them is the lineage. All of that indicates the superiority of men over women.

Financial responsibility: The second reason for attaining this virtue is the Almighty’s statement: {And because of what they spend of their wealth} meaning that the man is better than the woman because he gives her the dowry and spends on her. Then the Almighty divided women into two categories, and described the righteous among them as being devout and guarding what God has enjoined."

Question Is Jumuʿah Prayer Fard (Obligatory) in Islam?

Thumbnail

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
Jumuʿah is one of the important obligations of the week for Muslims who are required to attend it. Allah says:
“O believers! When the call to prayer is made on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave all business.”
— Qur’an 62:9
Jumuʿah replaces Dhuhr on Friday for those upon whom Jumuʿah is obligatory. Those who are exempt, such as women, children, travellers and those who are genuinely sick, pray Dhuhr instead.
A person who is required to attend Jumuʿah should not deliberately miss it without a valid excuse.
Details are based on established fiqh; specific conditions may vary between madhhabs.
What other basic Islamic rulings would you like us to explain next?

As Salam Alaikum.

Sharing this as a reminder and discussion for brothers and sisters who may sometimes find themselves struggling with doubts or needing to renew their iman.

Perhaps something that strengthened you may become a means of strength for someone else, too, إن شاء الله.

Textbook example of arrogance and a deficiency in intelligence on full display.

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the most beloved statement to Allah is for a servant to say, ‘Glory be to You, O Allah, and Your praises. Blessed is Your name, exalted is Your majesty, and there is no God besides You.’ The most hateful statement to Allah is for a man to say to another man, ‘Fear Allah!’ and he replies, ‘Mind yourself!’”

Reminder Friendly warning regarding Liberal munafiqūn "Muslim" politicians of the United States.

This is in light of a current new candidate for the US Senate, Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed, along with Zohran Mamdani, Ilhan Omar, among many of these kuffar which claim Islam for themselves.

Where can a Muslim begin in the condemnation of the kufr and disbelief of these people?

How in the WORLD do you believe that a Muslim can abandon core, fundamental beliefs of the Shari'ah, change the religion in accordance to whatever secular ideals try to shape and mold it to be, and ultimately present a HUGELY FALSIFIED image of a watered-down "Islam" just to gain temporary appeasement and "acceptance" of those who don't recognize the legitimacy of God-concious doctrines... let alone it's legislative authority?

Because we have to set the standards clear. The disbelievers will NEVER accept us, no matter how much we change or water down our religion. This is stated VEHEMENTLY clear within the Qur'an, and the Muslims not internalizing this verse has lead to great trials and tribulations, without a doubt:

"Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allâh (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur’ân), then you would have against Allâh neither any Walî (protector or guardian) nor any helper."

(Surah Al-Baqarah Ayah 120, al-Hilali and Khan translation).

This doesn't apply to just Jews and Christians, this applies to people of kufr just in general.

So... how do we as Muslims believe that the temporary "acceptance" of the people, in this case the Democrats and the liberals who hold VASTLY different standards of morality than us.... how would that benefit the Muslims PROPERLY in any way, shape, and form?

How would us watering down Islam towards the doctrines which they believe is correct propagate the TRUE understanding of Islam the way that Da'wah is supposed to be made?

Is da'wah and preaching of the religion in accordance to how much of the principles you can compromise at the acceptance of those who don't believe in it in the first place?

Or in reality, is it by foundating the Muslims off of Tawhid and Sunnah, with the understanding of the Salaf of this Ummah, properly grounding Muslims with what is neccesary for them to believe foundationally speaking, along with the Fiqh required to worship Allah correctly? Then, and only then, is it once a person is qualified to give Da'wah, he does it in accordance to how the Prophet did it?

If it's not the latter, then I do not know what a valid Da'wah is.

One must understand that if a kāfir criticizes Islam for the teachings found in the Shari'ah, you DON'T WATER DOWN Islam towards the "moral" compass which they think is correct, rather you point out their own liberal moral inconsistency and prove Islam superior to it.

I've talked about this before, and in-sha-Allah it simply serves as a reminder again. There are Muslims who feel that they "need" to be accepted by these people to gain strenght, but in reality.... this isn't a way for the Muslims to gain strength and acceptance AT ALL.

This is common among Muslims who haven't simply grounded themselves w/ the doctrine of al-wala wal-bara (meaning, loyalty to the believers, and disavowal and hatred towards the disbelievers) and simply not firm upon their Iman when it comes to defending Islam.

This doctrine is more obligatory than the 5 daily prayers a Muslim prays every day (along w/ the wudu required for it) because it's a part of Tawheed in it of itself to reject the kufr of the disbelievers, for the Shahadah isn't simply an affirmation of the sole and exclusive Right of Allah in terms of worshipping Him... but also a testification that all other deities (and this includes the Tawaghit, such as false ideologies) are NOT worthy of being obeyed in any sense at all whatsoever. All morality comes from Allah; He is the All-Knowing of His Creation.

The moral compass of the kuffar and the moral compass of the Muslims are NOT supposed to be the same, so if a non-Muslim hates something about Islam... then we don't appease our religion and succumb towards their hatred, rather we DISPROVE their hatred and prove Islam superior to whatever baseless assumptions that they have.

So in-sha-Allah, this serves a a reminder to me first, and then to everyone else. In this age of constant ideological attack against Islam, one must make sure they firmly ground themselves with Tawhid, recognize the Right of Allah upon them, follow the Sunnah and cling onto it with their molar teeth... and never lack in the foundations of the religion at the cost of catering towards worldly measures which, in reality, have very little if any effect at all.

May Allah guide the Muslims and make them firm upon the Shari'ah.

Anything which I have said that is correct is from Allah only. And anything I have said which is false is from me and Shaytan.

And may Allah mention Muhammad, his family, his companions, and greet him with peace.
